Well if it's also showing in startup and in apps from tv itself, no cable is the cause. Mine now als has 1 pixel line. Almost at the bottom. Tv isn't 2years okd

Great guide @techtests, tried all but the T-con bit, as all my tools currently in storage 👎 The issue I have produces a single horizontal line, 1 pixel deep, that looks to be a duplicate of another area of the screen. No idea if this is the same as having a single black line? Anyone have any idea if this could be T-con connected? I will try cleaning that as a last resort when I get my kit back, otherwise going to have to replace the TV. 🤦

I have the same issue 50 inch 4k SMARTTV 2018 Model Hisense. The line just appeared out of no where? Mine is NOT BLACK, it is a duplicate of another part of the screen, almost like the driver for that part has been crossed with another? I have stripped the TV and checked the ribbon connections even removed and re-seated but NO luck. The line is in the upper part of the screen only about 20mm from top edge of the screen? Any suggestions?

Got a hisense 68km model couple days ago. I had the same issue a very thin line at the top of the screen today that seemed to display image from middle screen. Rebooting the tv fixed it. Hope this doesn't occur often or I'll be returning it.

If you've opened up your TV and the T-Con / main board isn't the issue, it is probably a panel problem which is generally not economical to replace.
