I was so lucky to get the 75" version of this TV since its been sold out for days and I'm so impressed with it. Especially playing the PS5 on it!!! Its a must have!!! I also have a Sonos Arc and fits so perfect between the stand.

I bought mine 2 weeks ago. Its on pre order. Haven’t heard Anything about it since. Lol….They are selling like hot cakes. Some sony/LG ppl are so offended now. They are making videos Hisense beside X95K , with Hisense backlight turned to 100%, blooming. Or having Backlight super dim, front light(control how bright d black should be) up to d 40 something. Like --just to make a POINT…”see see see” the Sony x95K is better. Look so sharp.” The malice is NEXT level.

I bought mine as well from bestbuy for the same price you got yours as well about a week and a half ago for $899. I was able to calibrate it with the retailer store mode settings and tweak the picture mode to hdr vivid, shaprness to 26, color to 60 and in advance settings switch noise and digital noise to reduction to high, dynamic tone mapping left on and last but not least active contrast to medium after having those setting tweaked all I have to say is holy shit this tv looks great. Literally looks up to par with oled panels the deep level of inky blacks and color blew my mind. There are areas of opportunities with how the video processing works Netflix, HBO Max and other streaming content but I'm pretty sure that a future firmware update can patch those hiccups.

The video processing and upscaling of lower definition, low bit rate streams is often where you see the shortcomings compared to Sony and Samsung.

Yep. Have had mine up for almost a week. Going to wait til after our Thanksgiving trip to sit down and try some of the suggested settings from different people here on the tube. So far we are very happy with it.

Yep, got that Bestbuy deal also. I put mine in media room. Now need to find some good calibration numbers/settings. Was about to pull trigger on the lgc2 at Costco, for$2400, but this was just a better buy for the buy. Subwoofer is solid, I have mine on stands.

Have the “back light down to like around 40-60% depends how large yr screen, how bright yr room is. ---back light is for OVER ALL screen brightness also peek brightness. Then go to previous page to adjust (how dark u want yr black to be ) buy “turn up/down d “Brightness” . Often ppl 😅mistake😅as if “brightness “ setting controls over all lighting, then Backlight setting controls d “blackness”. Its actually Reverse This is 🎉🎉critical info🎉🎉🎉 Also for this tv, u need to keep “sharpness low’. It has high local dimming , high processing already. Extra sharpness will make image less fluid, but more pixilated. Its only good for like old ass 480 or low resolution shows. So thats the Basis, Like day time u can turn up the “brightness” night time” just turn down “ d brightness”. I usually just keep the backlight level not changed. Also get a small soft light night lamp or something in d room from distance. It makes the whole tv watch much better. Cuz its bright tv, wont cause eye strain. When background brightness is similar , eyes Can zoom better than mild squint. :)

Just got mine at 900 canadian for the 65 inch. Looking at this deal, I would say this is the best looking tv you can get at that price with the contrast ratio, brightness and response times. 500 local dimming zones is impressive. You can get the RCA or Sylvania 4KTV's at 500 for a 65 inch but the picture is not even close.

I do NOT recommend to use as computer monitor. LED technology use those little tiny lights. Those lights are constantly ON n off to creat the visual of pic. When they are Always on, they will break down WAY faster. Usualy LED tv will break down average 4-5 yrs thru heavy Tv watching like 10000 hrs. But if the same led dots are on all d time, they break down MUCh faster. Like u will have like Lines, or weird discolour in in small area when that slump of dot break down. D brighter d fast it can burn out. LED TV. is NOT mean to be best use as computer screen . Even for web browsing, the sides of the browser still reasoning steady. Bad for yr tv. The Samsung Frame, n SHARP commercial panels are better for it in my opinion. Can’t have cake n eat it too :)

@@birdtj82 I'm honestly not too concerned about degradation with the amount of time I'm on my PC, but thank you for the concern. I'm on it currently less than 5 hours a week and with this upgrade I may triple that number between workstation and gaming use. And because I'll be so close it's more likely than not that I'll be running the backlight setting (not brightness) at 40-50%. Ended up buying a Samsung 50" QN90A over the black Friday weekend. Looking forward to comparing it to the 65" U8G I bought my parents last year.

I saw d QN90A last yr in store . If I could afford it at time I would have gotten it myself over U8G . Since I haven’t received my Back order . They are $650 on Amazon but I'm considering the u6h for $369. I've been buying the cheaper Hisense 58" $269 Roku 6 series from Walmart but they don't last long because of Backlighting issues & goes out in about 2-4 years. I love this U8H A 58" fits my small living room perfect, a 65" is 1" to large. Guess a 55" will do. I'm not buying another $269 58" even though the audio is banging! Display isn't bad either. Just a Backlighting issue.

My Vizio M50 from 2015 took a dump last night for the second time so I decided to buy new instead of repairing it again. After a day of researching I narrowed it down to a new U8H vs Sony X90K but refurbished. Went with the Hisense so I hope I made the right choice

Hey next year. Dude in Canada BEST BUY completely do NOT display HISENSE n TCL panels. Cuz they are similar price to LG Nano Dot and Sony/Samsung mid range. But their high performance is casing Major worry for those panels are Not selling well. Cuz ppl either get the HIGH end LG/Sony/Samsung. Then the ones like us still has decent budget, we try to weight in /out our options oftenly cant get pass HOW NICE Hisense is. Its like once u see it. U cant gasp how over priced some brands are n under performing. So my husband read on redit that SONY/LG/Samsung organized meeting , sat BestBuy CEO down. Demand them to like block d Visual of Hisense and TCL 6-8 Series in d store. Ex redit employees said that expose :”Best Buy were training all TV staff keep mouth shut about Hisense, either respond like oh i never heard about this panel i dont know. Or say Oh Hisense i heard it has quality issues” just to dis engage convo, or to plant seed of doubt. Hisense Flagship Models , also TCL 6 series are Amazing. Any chance you can say specifically what sizes/ lengths of the upper and lower spacers and screws? I ordered a U8H 65” and I’ve scoured the internet and cannot find an answer. My mounting brackets look the same as yours so the same size hardware would work for me.

Nice review. Is the Ethernet port really a Gigabit port like you mentioned? Although everyone SHOULD be switched over to Gigabit ports today I have yet to see an Ethernet port on any TV that supports Gigabit. The manufacturers still use out-dated 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports. Thanks!

Honestly the 646 picture is the best tv I’ve ever owned can’t imagine getting a better picture than my 646. And I got it for $450 open box added 2 yr warranty for $70. I think u be good with the 655. I use the new Apple TV box anyways with my 646 due to the awesome hdr and upscale apple does. Excited to see what 2023 holds in store from both companies

Hi, how do you use the main features of this tv- HDR, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, 120hz, etc, if nothing is plugged into the (2) 120hz, eARC HDMI slots. I just have tv plugged in w/ power cord so I don’t know if I can see videos in HDR/ Dolby Atmos/Vision etc. video. Should do a video on this, as many probably has this question. Please help! The source has to deliver it (Apple TV, Vudu, Prime) and the TV will show it automatically. It will notify you off the switch. 👍

I don't know which exactly I used. I have a bucket full of TV mount hardware. I just pulled from it and picked the ones that matched. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I have Fiber Internet extreme High speed, I do NOT use d Ethernet wire. N Hisense Tv has been running FLuid. As alternative, if this Ethernet plug do NOT work, U are welcome to try --using TV Wirelessly. using a like Wifi empifyer PLUGS. LIke those things are commonly NOT CHEAP. I am in Toronto. I think they are like $50 USD for 1 plug at least for every like 10 feet maybe 12 feet 15 feet. I got some for my old place. When we shared my internet with my tenants. But that stuff u only need to buy Once n be done with. IT’s post Xmas n they are MORE Popular now, i think u can get like 4 in 1 bundle for some reputable brands for like $200 something like that. Look into it. Cuz My Tv I only have like it plugs into d wall with cable, that is IT. Lol. Do not need to worry plugging internet into TV. So TV can be connecting to others. Sony TVs have exact same issues with Ethernet, and audio delay issues for 2019 panels or later. So its usually the transmitor or setting also miss match Gen issues. I didnt know that myself. I just thought everything is plug n play. Lol.

I have this in a 75-Inch. I give this tv a 8/10. Processing is the weak link. Low bit stuff does look pretty bad on this TV lol. Also I think the motion could be a little better.

@@RAMRA10 no, I haven't done any updates since I bought it. I've owned it for about 6 weeks now. Not sure when the update was rolled out. But I did here one was coming. There's also a slight delay in audio when I use my sound bar. But I've gotten use to it. It's not that noticeable unless someone tells you and then you start to focus on it. But overall it's a solid TV for the price. It's located in a bright room and the brightness was the main selling point for me.

I’m not sure if you need help or not, but here it goes anyways. Go into your “settings” go down to “system” then click on the “about” there should be a “system update” click on that and update. For me it really improved the 4K upscaling so it’s less pixelated, colors, haziness, motion blur and it’s just so much better than how it was. Try updating your tv. And let me know how that worked out for you and if you saw any improvements in your image quality.

Yeah i just use my nvidia shield tv plug to my U8H and its just out of this world good :) nvidia magic ai upscaling is just a big step over anything built in any tv on the market hand down and also seem to make motion better as the full power of the tv is just making the picture and not upscaling ect.

Got mine at Brandsmart for $869 - salesperson gave me a $30 discount for the 60 mile drive to get to the store. I am a having an issue with the lip synch - seems to be a know problem. They are suppose to have a firmware fix but I don't think it's been released. Anyone have it yet.

Dude, Hisense release their Firmwear update every year between Oct to mid Dec. So i assume should arrive any time soon. Its worth d wait! I was so happy when my last yr panel fixed. Only once. N never had to do anything ever after.

My only concern is that it's Chinese. There has been some security concerns regarding TCL and Hisense TV's having spyware in some of the pre-installed apps.

@@TomasVillegas haha, that's an easy one, just put some black tape over it. I noticed in your set up, that even though it has Google TV, there are some generic preinstalled apps...those are the ones where TCL were found to have spyware.

In face every app has that feature to secretly spy on u. My friend is IN IT company who Fishes DATA for clients (for their sepcific needs) , if u are too paranoid. Just dont get it :) :) still hope u find d one u like :)

Hisense should have removed the subwoofer and reinvested that into making the viewing angles better and the stutter better. Because let’s be real how many people actually use the speaks on TVs now a days ? With sound bars and actual home theatre systems it would have served the tv and customers far better to put the money somewhere else instead of a sub which is adding vibration to the back of an LCD panel…. Doesn’t seem smart to me…

It’s not good Ik he said it was I saw videos I’ve been researching this tv for at least 20 hours and the Dolby vision is ass no one likes it makes things way to bright and also kinda makes the blooming more when usually it’s really good at blooming but in Dolby vision it’s bad but it’s a great tv I’m getting mine in a couple weeks they also fixed the game problem for consoles not for pc people I think we’ll give your thoughts tell me if it doesn’t look that bad in person in Dolby vision but it looked terrible on it in the vid

My bad I forgot it takes out all the detail pretty much and makes it bad but that’s the tv problem but it’s a great tv it just can’t use that mode well like other high end tvs

Its a shame the AU model is not as good as this one. No sub, bad colors out of the box needs major tweaking, no Andover OS. Honestly I love the picture quality but I regret in some ways just not getting a budget LG. The budget remote, budget software, budget color options is not a deal breaker but you get what you pay for I guess.l just not as good a deal as many of these videos advertise. At least for AU and I’ve heard for Asia and UK.

That's one of the hardest questions to answer. As soon as I'll be able to give a long term review Hisense will have stopped making this model 🤷‍♂️

Lots of people have that question but what most people don’t know is that Hisense is the 5th largest tv manufacturer in the world, lot of people write off Hisense and called it Chinese junk funny when everything now days comes from China even their overpriced Sonys and Samsungs, but to each their own I have the last year U8G and I’m completely satisfied with it.

I am serious....all the hype with OLED I like the mini LED better. Sorry. 😐 But the mini LEDs are nicer and to me they project the colors better at a brighter panel. I feel like I will get attacked for saying this, but like I said I have been visually testing them with in person visuals. The mini LEDs are king to me right now.
