Me also. I won’t not buy a TV because it has 2 feet but I always think a TV looks a little bit classier with the center stand.

Can you please tell me why with the Hisense u8n . Why is there a difference between the 55 and 65 in brightness and other capabilities. Thank you the 55 should be the same obviously not as many dimming zones that being it. I was specifically looking for an answer. I don’t know if you know, but why is the 55 inch u8n only rated at 1800 nits. And all the other sizes are rated for 3000. That’s BS so it’s like if you don’t buy what they want you to buy you don’t get the full package. I really hate that and also why a lot of manufacturers are starting to make their flagships at 65 inch and cutting out the 55 inch option. Not all of them but some of them probably most Sony does it with the Bravia nine you cannot get a 55 inch and so does TCL with the QM8 you cannot get a 55 inch that’s BS. Everybody doesn’t want a 65 need a 65 and some people don’t have room for a 65.

Regarding the 55" size Hisense still gives this model the Leg stands. They are very long and are only assembled in one spot on the TV. This can either be put off or not. Everyone will have their own preference on this. Hisense gives you a flat metal stand on the bigger Tv's so they aren't very attractive but the idea is that they are covered up by a sound bar like mine is. Again they are locked in place After my first week of ownership I went on Amazon and bought a glass pedestal stand for like $25.00. An aftermarket pedestal stand at least allows for some swivel adjustments. My stand allows for a better viewing angle. Manufacture stands are bolted down in place and you can. tell they don't swivel.

@TechSteve Hisense marketing doesn't mention to reviewers the difference between models. I wasn't happy with my unboxing because Best Buy photos show a Pedestal stand. Had the feet been TeePee like They would have been better. Hisense photographs one TV and cross reference photos to all sizes. This isn't fair because photos should represent the description.

Unfortunately, like the Hisense U8/U8K, the TV's response time behaves differently with VRR enabled. It's more aggressive with refresh rates above 100Hz, which leads to a faster response time but with more overshoot errors. When the TV hovers around 100Hz, the rapid changes in behavior when it goes above and below that threshold are distracting. There are no issues when running at a fixed refresh rate. STILL NOT FIXED, BOTH MODELS.

Need some calibration. U8N it's missing detail on lights. Color is off of U8N. Some of reds look orange. Some of grays on U8N look green. Rtting did point out color is not accurate on U8N. Calibration is needed. U8K is way more accurate with color. If both TV are Calibrated difference would be small. Yes U8N should be better. 1500 nits vs 3000 it should be brighter. Should be noted that U8N 55 inch only goes to 1500 nits. Before showing rtting usually has calibration on there site. TVs would be better seen fully calibrated.

@@diego1294 For your use case if your streaming movies with In App TV apps, my full advice just for this use case either stick with an oled TV or if you don't have one your going to need. a streaming box. Look all Mini leds have drawbacks. I get it, you want a bigger panel, and a 85" oled doesn't come in that size and 83" Oleds cost a lot more. You have to understand when it comes to streaming in apps MediaTek sucks really bad at it. Their AI sucks in 2024 that it can't fix a bad picture, and for 2025 they will overhype AI again. If you already own a streaming box my comment won't matter to you. For a MediaTec chip that can't make streaming movies worth watching even with clarity setting set to high and with no local dimming on, with a bare minimum streaming quality, then you find out you have to spend more money for a high end streaming box you might be pissed.

I've got the U8K and I gotta say, any brighter and we're in the realm of being too bright for the human eye. I'm hoping they stop with pumping brightness just for the sake of increasing specs, we're all going to be blind.

It takes 7-10 days for eyes breaking in. Due to larger screen size ! Try not watch too much first 3 days . Trust me once u r used to it u can not go back . Also in Dec it’s not sunny u feel like it’s too bright . once Mayb/June comes . it’s like “ I want it brighter ) 😊 it’s suppose to be turned down at night . Up the color -- (volume ) ! Most ppl freak out over brightness , it’s the color - needs to be UP cast over brightness accordingly . We see things 3D by color :)

I have a hisense U8 when I can get it to work it has an amazing picture. The major problem with hisense and Sony is. Google. The google os is absolutely terrible hate it! Don’t like google enough to even tolerate this awful OS. Its slow sluggish and the screen freeze on the home screen is ridiculous! If I don’t make a selection in seconds am not making any selections the screen froze. Turns off randomly while watching, turns on randomly when not watching. If I can past the screen freeze the picture and sound quality are excellent Google ruined this tv
