Actually Belle doesn't have Stockholm, the beast has Lima Syndrome. Lima Syndrome is when a captor starts to feel sympathy and care about their captive. Belle, if she had stockholm, would refuse to leave him. When he tells her to go after her father she goes, if she had Stockholm she would have made up some excuse to stay and convince herself she had to. Also note that after Belle saved him, which was out of mercy on her part and not any kind of 'love' at the time, she didn't allow herself to be cowed by his temper, and only began to reciprocate actual affection when the Beast changed and attempted to show kindness first. Just irks me that Belle is always painted as some weak-willed victim when she is actually an intelligent, strong individual; especially in a town that thinks someone like Gaston is a hero and that she should submit.

I agree! And the Beast isn't an "abuser" either. People forget that there's an element of magic to Beauty and the Beast. His violent outbreaks are due to him being more monster than man by the time Belle arrives at the castle. She manages to save him before he becomes completely feral (and the staff before they're inanimate objects). If Beast was a man, consciously choosing to beat and abuse Belle, then I'd have a serious problem. But you know who's truly in an abusive relationship? Le Fou. Gaston punches him across the room, throws him in mud, and is basically makes Le Fou feel like nothing compared to him. Somebody send that poor little dude a life-line, he could really use one~!

I think that after the spell was placed, no one aged. So he actually would have been 21 when the witch cursed the castle, and then he was stuck at that age until the curse was broken. It explains why chip was a little boy, younger than 10. He wasn't born a cup, he just never aged :)

But the castle was transformed by the curse,the injured was *not* caused by the curse:it was caused by Gaston. So it makes no sense that breaking the curse=healing the injure. The injure has *nothing* to do with the curse!

Nicamon yes it has a few weird points, but that's Disney for you. They can't have everything be realistic. Because if you look at almost every Disney movie, there's something that doesn't make sense. Like in Aladdin and how the magic carpet can actually play pool with Genie, or how a Parrot knows how to speak perfectly, or even how Jasmin has a pet tiger and can hug it without being mauled. And that's just from one movie! Why? Because it's Disney and they don't want to make realistic movies, they want to make relatable characters, good stories to tell, and have everybody live happily ever after.

I'd like to see a sequel where Lumiere and the other servants hunt down the Enchantress who put them through TEN YEARS of their lives they'll never have back. They somehow retain parts of the curse (Lumiere can conjure flames, Cogsworth's arms are made of steel, Mrs. Pots can spit scalding tea, etc) and they track her down to a castle. It is too late, the Enchantress has left behind a ferocious 11-year old girl who she also cursed to be a beast. Now they have to help this child control her temper as she joins them in their quest for revenge against the hag who runs around cursing children for being children.

You might wish to know that based on what I have read, Beast's "death" before his transformation into a prince was meant to mimic the chrysalis stage in the transformation from a caterpillar into a butterfly-going into an inactive stage before it changes into the desired form. I think the reason they made it that Gaston did to the Beast what would, unfortunately, in real life, kill somebody, was to make the viewer think the character has died but the character is really entering the chrysalis-the process of transforming from a beast into a human.
