Hunter x Hunter - definitely worth a watch, it's wholesome, dark and funny and the different arc's and development of characters and abilities is fantastic. As for Hisoka, he is one of my favorites just based on his fighting desires. He comes across as a villain and anti villain however his warning of "being a veteran" is really more so that Gon (the kid in green) doesn't get beaten to early. Hisoka is basically waiting for Gon to grow up and fulfill his potential and then Hisoka will kill him, once he's developed into a real challenge. (He also can come across as a bit of a perv 😂(not why I like him)

You can be evil and still do good. It's part of being evil. You can't be evil without doing good first. Otherwise, it's just your nature and if it's your nature, it's not evil. It's just sad. But Hisoka is definitely not an evil character. At one point in this video while fighting, he seems to retract his fingers where he seemed to be in a killing position. He held back when he could have actually killed the kid right then and there. He was playing with him, having fun. A real fighter, someone with real talent and skill will understand. At the start, he's not even blinking, not even breaking eye contact. It's nothing but a game to him, this is a kid. You do understand the difference, right? He IS a veteran, which means he's got knowledge and experience that this kid won't have until he's grown and battled. He's giving the kid the experience he needs to "level up". He wants a worthy challenge and he feels this kid may actually be the one to give him that. Even when he gets a bit more serious, that's nowhere near the extent of what Hisoka can do. He's a psychopath, not evil.
