My theory is that Kurapika isn’t going anywhere. If he makes it to the dark continent, he could acquire that plant that extends the life of someone and potentially gain back all, if not, more time than what was lost using his nen ability.

They were created upon the death of the previous kakuin royals who died. They then morph into their summoners' personalities. They are created out of nen. The nen beasts were created (This is where it gets sketchy) from the urn, but the urn was created from the first king's post-mortem nen. (If I got that right? You can fact-check me on that.)

Emperor time only took roughly 4 years off of his life, not that drastic

If Emperor time was 3h active that would have been 10.800s which is only 450days so even 12 hours active are 1800 days. And that are roughly 5 years of his lifespan. So i don‘t see a deathflag over Kurapika.

Emperor time diminishing his life span is not like "he starts with 70 total years and if it get down to 18 years left, he loses his life". Thats not how it works, since its not like Kurapika reaches a certain age and then loose life. Its more like the more lifespan he looses, the weaker his body an health gets. Since what we consider aging is just a deterioration of your body and health as compared to how it was when younger. So him loosing lifespan is just his health and body deteriorating. Thats why when he uses it a lot, he faints or bleeds or something like that indicating that his body is getting weaker. A bit like Gon after the vow he made to beat Pitou. He ended up with a body that was damaged due to loosing much nen and we know that nen = life force in hunter x hunter. so thats why Gon's body was so messed up. Its not that his body turned 150 years old. no its just that his body lost all the vitality to the point it was comparable to an extremelly old person decaying. So for Kurapika I believe him loosing life span is about him loosing vitality and damaging his body.
