( 1:26 Horipad) ( 5:44 NS Pro Controller) ( 9:23 Joy-Cons) ( 11:33 CuleedTec Adapter+DS4 Controller) 2 things, made a typo and called the joycons pro controller :( but the price is correct. And I been informed the cheap hori controller fat dpad can be removed, from my quick testing due to the groove its a bit restricted but def accurate when pressing since its 4 separate buttons like the joycon. So its something to try if you don't have big thumbs and you don't have a big budget. I was able to do the ending for singing passion with it but with a lot more difficulty but its doable

@arturoromero951 Жыл бұрын
@@thatdankhusbando3144I agree that DS4 adapter is the best way to play the game since Project Diva has the natural feel for PS4 controller. However, not all Nintendo controllers are wack. Yes, some stuff are harder or more annoying to execute on Nintendo controllers, but it is possible to be up to par with DS4 controller. Why would I say that? I am mostly a Pro Controller player, and I started Project Diva 8 months ago, which is also my first introduction as a new time Vocaloid fan, and my hardest difficulty is 9.5 on both Extreme and Extra Extreme. Some songs are easy to do on it and some are more annoying. But it shows you that Pro Controller can do their work. In my opinion however, there are some stuff that are almost hard or impossible to do on NS Pro. For example, lightning fast spam (like Betty the Liar Ex Ex spam or Mousou Sketch Ex Ex spam), and really fast and long 270’s or 360’s (Grumpy Waltz Ex Ex, Intense Voice both difficulties, Negaposi*Continues Extreme). Some stuff are more annoying to do on Pro Controller but are possible, like long strings of multi note patterns (Ex: I perfected Leia Ex Ex with NS Pro, and is one of my proudest accomplishments, and I also perfected How’d It Get to Be Like This on Extreme.) or small lightning spam sections (Mousou Sketch Extreme and Bring It On Extreme). Also in my opinion, there are some songs in which it is almost required to use JoyCon grip than Pro Controller due to high technical demands some charts have. For example, some 10 star charts that I think are almost possible to do on NS Pro could be songs like Sadistic Music Factory or even songs like World’s End Dancehall Ex Ex. However, once you start moving into Intense Voice territory and above, you practically have to be an accuracy machine in order to perfect them on Pro Controller. And while the buttons are smaller on JoyCon grip and the macros are a little different of feel, I feel it is more possible to perfect the charts on JoyCon grip than on NS Pro. And while many don’t recommend to wear and tear your JoyCons for Project Diva, I think that JoyCon grip controller is undoubtedly the best Nintendo controller to use for this game and is almost up to par with the DS4. I mean, someone literally perfected Intense Voice Ex Ex with a JoyCon grip, which imo is a godly accomplishment. It just depends on what works for you. I know I typed a whole ass novel but hopefully you understand my point. :)

But maybe aside from that of course the D-pad thing on the switch Pro Controller is still pretty good and it's still really amazing. :) (I pretty much like to see someone reply on this comment this time around just see if they actually think about their opinions with using their controllers and stuff, signed~ ATJF.)

I personally really like the joycon grip with mega39 the buttons are separate and feel nice, also same kinda buttons on each side so alternating feels real nice (imo) I have small(?) hands so the small close together buttons work for me, but I could see it not working for someone with bigger hands
@boletus20013 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the joycons with the grip are fantastic for the game, I actually ended up liking them more than the DS4. What makes them great is that the Dpad is actually 4 separate buttons instead of just a covered up Dpad like the DS4 so it's perfect for the game. The only issue is that the buttons are really small so if you have bigger hands it probably isn't great for you, but otherwise it's perfect.
@faereman9 ай бұрын
I use the joycons (with the grip of course) for all 10 rhythm games I currently have on the switch (I don't have mega 39 though since FT is just better), the separated buttons on both sides makes it pretty much impossible to missinput anything. I use the hori controller featured in this video in every other game, since it's actually quite good for those. But yeah the joycons have helped me get many full combos in Taiko, Groove Coaster, Muse Dash and more. They're pretty much perfect except for the L and R buttons, those are awful but I can just use ZL and ZR instead, which actually function properly lol.

It looks like either the last adapter one is the best option with joycons in second. But, I don't have a ps4 and don't know what to buy if I go with the first option, or if it's even worth it. If you have any advice, please let me know!

try joycons first and if it really bugs you then buy the ps4 controller + the adapter but I would probably try to test it out first before u spend all that money. some people still dont like the feel of the ps4 controller

Did you mod that DS4 in any way to keep it from imputing random diagonals if you wiggle a d-pad button or hit it from the wrong angle? Both of the ones I have have done that since they were brand new, it's very annoying.
@hisokeee4 жыл бұрын
Hmm I believe you may just need a bit more practice, I've been through multiple ds3 and ds4 and I found its always been my fault when I miss on the dpad. Then again it may also have to do with how you grip the controller since everyone's hand size is different. I suggest recording your hands while playing with the gameplay somehow so you can see when you make a mistake what you did wrong. It helps a ton when I was first starting out

What about Switch Mini? After playing so much on Vita, I gonna use it a lot on my Switch Mini, then maybe it would be nice despite the Dpad buttons
@hisokeee4 жыл бұрын
I saw the dpad, its a cross like the pro controller, so it may not be the best but I do not have one so I cannot give you sure answer. At the least you can connect any controller to it so if it turns out to suck, you have backup plan
@CtTr24384 жыл бұрын
@@hisokeee yeah, that was the idea if I feel so horrible the Mini experience. Also thanks for the answer, I didn't know it was the same dpad as the pro controller. Btw Hiso, did you know about the new Arcade pannel to Mega 39's? It's pretty sick. I saw it on a channel called NihongoGamer if you didn't know about it.

Hello Im a beginner with this game and I dont really like playing with the joycon lol also this is my first miku game ever what would be the best controller I plan on taking it seriously and I have a budget ?
@hisokeee4 жыл бұрын
I would test a ps4 controller from a friends house if you never tried it before. If you like it then buying the adapte+ps4 controller would be my recommendation. but the combined price would be a bit more than a pro controller from nintendo

As he said in the video you buy a adapter. If you rewatch when he was doing the PS4 controller test it shows the adapter not the controller before he started the test
