I’ll leave a recap of the three steps to help with reading lineups here. 1. Compare the tanks on each team. Do not focus purely on tank class but on tank characteristics and play style. Use this information to try and predict where vehicles will be played. 2. Weigh the tanks against each other. Consider how strong or weak your team will be in a position based on step 1. This step takes lots of experience and bad games to realize. 3. Decide on which play you want to make (if your team splits properly) do you want to support a weaker flank or slaughter a stronger one? This is purely based on your intuition and once again experience. If you follow these steps you’ll have a solid foundation on reading lineups. Naturally this will not always work nor will it always make a difference in a game outcome (if enemy yolos seven tanks on one flank for instance) but it will help you a lot with practice. Hope you enjoyed the video and found it helpful!

Finally get to see the 10k E4 game 🙏 Also sometimes you can tell when the enemy team has a lineup where they're able to send all 7 tanks towards one flank. Maybe you could've included a replay where the enemy team sent all 7 tanks one flank due to a more mobile heavy lineup? just thoughts

Absolutely fantastic video on a topic that is desperately needed for many Blitz players. Learning to read the lineup of both teams and the deep dive into the typical positions you mentioned is HUGE. So many players are completely oblivious to this concept. Equally important, a topic you touched on a couple of times during the video is map knowledge. Not only understanding the map control, but your knowledge of maps--the spotting positions, the anticipation of the Carro in your 268 game was of course stellar. This takes a great deal of thought, effort and experience for those of us mere mortals. You're on another level Fatness! Appreciate this educational video concept. Content like this will help those willing to learn. Thank you.

You're a class act, Fatty. Keep using your talents. When you think of it, you've got very little time to do this analysis. At first, all you can do is count classes. Hey Fatness please read all of these. Thanks for making an informative video. The only thing we expect from the game is to have a well-educated playerbase. They only talk about tank balance but they never thought about balancing players. They are allowing newbies & noobs to purchase higher-tier tanks and letting them destroy the overall quality of the game. I can tell you those who haven't learned after playing 10k battles, won't learn ever. So, it's much better to filter them out and implement solo battle mode for the random match. Only your performance will count. Both sides will have individual winners for their top performance. Then nobody can complain about having bad team. No, I'm not talking about the rating battle cause stats (damage, winrate) don't count in the rating battle. They have ruined it already by mixing PC players with mobile players. Mobile players never play the game seriously. They play while travelling, while working and they go AFK. They just don't bother. Mobile players are not gamers at all. They have many limitations.

To be honest, pubs isn't a comp game. Even if your team leaves something like 1 heavy and a camping td at another side, it's unlikely for the enemy team to push efficiently because they're all concerned about keeping their hp rather than winning the game. I find this advice, while useful, to be a little extra when you consider that obtaining early information is far more accurate than acting on any assumption at the start of the game. It's still good to consider, but I guess you did note that things never go as expected, and this helps you be prepared for the many scenarios. Good video!

Great topic . Sometimes the situation is like this, some of meds were not confident to go to the meds side , those players will go to heavy side and allow the defense line of meds side to become very vulnerable or even defenceless. If red team has competent meds and they push you aggressively, you will be killed quickly, and then the fate of the whole team is sealed 😢.
@hisroyalfatness Жыл бұрын
This happens often on dead rail. So even a 50/50 lineup on meds side can go horribly wrong. That’s why I often take my TDs to support direction even if it means giving up heavy farm (only if I feel my heavies can hold heavy side which sometimes they don’t but you have to work with what you got)

The snag is with this video is that the lone rangers who go A on Mayan Ruins, the yolo queens on Falls Creek who dip in the pit near the bridge who won't watch this video because they already know they don't need advice. @AGR96 Жыл бұрын
LOVE your videos, and watch your streams a lot. You are a great player and a GOOD person. Thanks for your time that you put in this video. I'll send a thank$ in your next live video for it! Probably you know all this, but I'd just like to chime in where the problem usually lies. 1. There are a lot of players who are young, inexperienced or casual players, dads, who come back home tired from work and just play a couple games before bed (yeah, that's me). I don't have the capacity to know all the tanks by name, if they are H/M/L/TD, or how they are played, if I can pen them or not etc until I face them. Heck, quite often I realise the other tank is an autoloader after pulling in front of him, 'cause "he just shot". I WISH I could read the lineup the way you described. 2. Don't expect inexperienced players stop at tier 8. WOTB, just like most games builds on the desire of people to progress. Maybe the solution lies elsewhere, maybe experience, expertise should be taken into consideration at MatchMaking. Winrate or rating maybe? But in this case remember, not just your allies will be more experienced so there is a chance you would lose more games. For every 60+ % Winrate Players there has to be a bunch of 50- % right? 3. Horrible teams are a real thing but as I observe the reason for losing is way less often the "bad team" vs how many times I see it people complaining about it in chat. And of course nobody is ever complaining about a horrible team on the other side :D 4. With that said I (and I'm sure most of the other 50- players) am trying my best to improve. I look up tank reviews, watch videos made by you or others, and watch your stream as well. I am creeping up in WR, in a slow pace though as I have usually limited amount of time to play. I hope I'm not the one ruining the fun of yours, and other good players. Thank you for being patient and helpful. See you in the game!

This video... far exceeds any training or education that WG has done ... 95% of people don't know how to read the line up ...let alone the map... thank you... now we just need to convince all of those players that they don't know what they don't know... not to mention... reviewing the lineup and the strengths and weaknesses of the tanks on your team and theirs... and finally... reading and recognizing which clans/players are on your team ... the old motto of "no clan no camo no good" is very pertinent to whom you can trust and rely upon and who you cannot ... this is why I wish WG would color code your teammates based upon their skill level... players below 40% are red, 40-46 orange, 46-50 yellow, 50-56 green, 56-60 light blue, 60+ dark blue... this way every player on your team can instantly know their abilities... because I can't tell you how many times Ive been blocked by a red/orange player, or how many times a red/orange player has been ~20-40 m away and have had zero clue what SOS means let alone see the red players shooting me while they are in lala land ... I just want a way to know who on your team is skilled enough to read the lineup, etc...

Thanks I just got my first tier 8 and have experienced non bot mm and I want to cry because of how screwed over I get in my is3. Hopefully this will allow me to actually play better.

I'm guessing Fatness malding over teams in his livestream forced him to revisit the "How To" format again. 😂 Just kidding. Also I think now is the best time to update the series since most how to play videos scattered across yt is fairly old and most are outdated already. The concept is the same, sure, but if I'm a new player I'd be looking for recent videos on topics that I need. Also the game graphics, editing style and video quality has changed over the years. Fatness revisiting the format is an absolute joy to know and will help new players and struggling average players that got into the game after legends like sk8 and bushka (he's back) left the game some years ago. Fatness has become the third hokage of the blitz content creators.

Love randos like the ally Kran on Desert Sands. Those players make this game so much more enjoyable.

The one thing that I hate about this is that even though I've maintainly used this layout reading, but sometimes enemy teams usually do wolfpacks and my ally teams would have trouble dealing them

Naturally something to always consider. There can never be a perfectly predictable game sadly
