This definitely was a reminder that while I love clothes, there are quite a few pieces in my closet that I can get rid of.
@amytreakle76047 жыл бұрын
I go through my closet every year, and every year I have pieces that I hold on to due of the cost of the item, hopes and dreams that I just could wear it on that one special occasion, or because I don't care and I'm going to keep them. Then I go and donate it to goodwill! It's cool to see my style evolve.

for the wrinkled shirt, take a hot shower and put the shirt in the bathroom on a hanger and the steam from the hot shower will get rid of most of the wrinkles. leave it in there after the shower too. should help

You're so rad, I needed this inspiration for my closet!! I keep way too many things because they used to look good on me or I have too much guilt because mom got it for me and I've never worn it, eeeek!

I will for sure try the Boutique Method when I go through my closet next time. I hate getting rid of clothes but really need to get rid of crap that no longer fits me.

oh and 1) use a hair iron to iron collars and shit and 2) soak shrunken clothes in conditioner for like 10 minutes and they return to size

I worked at Journey's and sold so many of those shoes we had to special order them, they are extremely popular and I would take them back out of the donate pile!

I read somewhere you can soak shrunken clothes in conditioner/softener and stretch the clothes back out... never tried it but it’s worth a shot. And who needs an iron when you have a hair straightener???

I have to go through my t-shirts. I have so many but I'm very sentimental because I'm a screenprinter and I LOVE shirts with stuff on them. The video is inspiration to get it over with at least.

Soak the button down in water with fabric softener and then kind of pull at it and then wash... see if it helps

I was about to ask if you've been to Sturgis lol Yes every summer there's a rally and all through Rapid City and the Black Hills... MOTORCYCLE TRAFFIC from Rapid to Mt Rushmore to Custer to Deadwood to Keystone just EVERYWHERE. I'm from Tennessee and live in South Dakota and it gets real touristy for the summer. I've be to Sturgis many times going to Wyoming and Spearfish but not the rally tho. It's basically an art show but on motorcycles

Biggest thing I was guilty of was keeping clothes that I said I would alter. Be honest with yourself,you are never going to alter it. If it's ripped or it does not fit to the thrift store it must go.

I don't understand 'the boutique method'. I own the pieces because I picked them up, wanted to own them and bought them. Do people just immediately change their mind about clothes?

they're just pieces of cloth. if she thinks it looks good, why not? the band prob got some money out of her buying it so who cares
@hiddengem3367 жыл бұрын
Caroline Almeida you usually buy merchandise from a band because you like and want to support the band, not because it was just a cool design. Also I highly doubt she was thinking about what the band got out of her buying a shirt which was second hand so they wouldn’t actually get any extra profit anyway. As someone who genuinely likes bands with popular logos like Pink Floyd, it annoys me when I think someone has similar tastes to me then I talk to them to only find out they just like rainbows.
