Hello, Are you sure, that on the third slide the enamel is visible? I think the tooth is decalcified and only dentin with odontoblasts are visible. If the enamel was developed as much as in the slide, dentin would also be present.

It is for sure dentin he is calling enamel. What he refers to ameloblasts in the slide are actually odontoblasts, and a thin layer of predentin before we see a globular mineralization front. It is definately not enamel. Enamel is not visible in this type of H&E coloration, it will just be blank.
