"A Lovely Bunch Of Coconuts Ltd Oy" is Nightwish, dear friends. Nightwish has been a part of Finnish pride for almost 30 years. In April 2023, the band announced that it will stop touring after June for an unspecified period of time. The band retired to make the next album. The album will be released this year, but the band does not plan to go on gigs again after the release. The band says that the break is important. Financially, there is nothing to worry about. A Lovely Bunch Of Coconuts Ltd Oy, jointly owned by the members.

Their first company was and still is Scene Nation. When Floor and Troy joined they formed new company called the Oily Empire. After Marko left they formed another in 2021 which is the newest and most active now. The older one's still exist and hold copyrights for example for some concert videos before 2021. And then Tuomas has his own company also which owns Nightwish copyright and catalog.

Tuomas has said this is the final album in a trilogy about the universe, planet earth, living creatures and humanity. Starts eith EFMB, then Human Nature and finishes with this album. Who else can make you rock out, give you a scientific/philosophical lesson and make you appreciate more that you're alive.

Some probability calculations: Step 1. Probability of boy meeting girl: one in 20,000. Step 2. Probability of same boy knocking up same girl: one in 2000. Step 3. Probability of right sperm meeting right egg: one in 400 quadrillion. Step 4. Now lets assume that you have just those 12 generations of ancestors mentioned in the intro to this song. For the probability of every one of those 12 generations of your ancestors having reproduced successfully with right sperm having met the right egg is 400 quadrillion to the 12th power. Given these 4 steps, the probability of you being born you at the present moment is 20k x 2k x 400 quadrillion to the 13th power. Going backwards in time with even more generations of your ancestors, we soon reach a probability of 1 divided by the number of atoms in the entire universe. This makes each one of us a unique miracle.

What struck me most was when you mention all the fathers who live long enough. This is my favorite line too. I immediately wanted to like your video hundred times. Honestly, Nightwish helped me accept our fate, that the death of a generation begets another ones.

There is such depth in this. You see in passing some heroes of Tuomas like Darwin (and his book, also background of picture of Floor), Einstein and Shakespeare - there is evolution of life, but also of language and ideas/science.

I think the locale in the video is parts of the natural history museum. I found it profound and it makes me want to do better and be a better human. 😊 This album is the final chapter of the evolutionary theme I believe focussing more on humanity this time. Troy did the best he could to fill the Marko gaps but they had such different voices. This time he can do what he does best, yes. Can not wait until Sept! "A lovely bunch of coconuts" is the production company owned by the band themselves to produce videos. The Band are a lovely bunch of coconuts, lol. History fact: It is actually a very old song called "I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts" from 1944. As a care aide I would sing a bit to the oldest folks in the nursing home. They loved it! 😊

In a comment i recall it was Tuomas who said they made up the word "Yesterwynde", as it means something that doesn't have a word in english. It was never explained, but my theory as fellow finn is they combined "yesterday" to old english word "wynd" meaning small alleys or something similar - yesterwynde could traslate to "the pathways of the past" or "the trails of the past". The "Troy brake down" I actually suspect to be the influence of their "new" (to this album) bass player Jukka. also the bass lines in the bridge sound something Jukka would maybe play in his other projects such Wintersun. I believe Jukka and Kai can bring a lot more of this side to Nightwish. The last part with Troy I think might have worked better in the middle of the song, but thats just my opinion.

Songs like this are what makes every musician in the band genius to me. They can all play a million notes per minute if they want to, but they get that less is more. This song is about lyrics that are meant to be heard, and harmonies that are meant to be felt. But then they throw in little fills here and there to remind you you're still listening to metal. Zod, I love them.

To me it sounds very much like a mix of the siren, dead gardens, our decades in the sun, pan, tribal, procession and harvest. And even before heading the ending, it already felt a lot like Harvest, despite these being totally different songs ... This song is much heavier and less folky, floor is funny and centre ... Yet it felt like Harvest. Which to me is a good thing

They are not going to tour this album, they are taking a break from touring - nothing's wrong, they just said they need a break. About the freediver's thong: I have two guesses: it could be their diving weight, though that is usually a belt, I think; or extra warmth for sensitive bits. It's quite cold that deep in the ocean.

The third album in the evolution trilogy, Westerwynde is out on 20 September. Mine is pre-ordered. This is very much an evolution of the orevious two albums. Who knows what Tuomas picks up next? Whatever it is will be interesting. To me it does sound like an extension of Human Nature. There's too much in here to pick up even after a couple of dozen hearings

Love Troy to death and am constantly in awe over his talents, but he should really just do backing vocals, he doesn't have the voice for lead vocals, sounds kinda "karaoke-y", I like the calm ending but they should have let Floor sing it, using Troy makes no sense, Just my opinion
@pekkakarppinen16084 ай бұрын
They just had to put Troy repeat the chorus, which we didn't hear before because Floor's voice is too low in the mix. 😅
