Shelly-Ann is the first woman from the Caribbean to win the 100m at the Olympics, and at that very same Olympics it was a Jamaican sweep where the other 2 Jamaican women were both awarded SILVER. Shelly is the only athlete to win the 100m, 200m and 4x1 at a word championships and is the ONLY sprinter to win the 100m four times at the world championship. Shelly also became the second fastest woman in history back in June at the age of 34 and was still able to run 10.7s back to back and then lower her personal best in the same season. She has also medaled in the 100m for the last four Olympics. Elaine has ran an excellent season but running like this for ONE season doesn't make her the best thing ever. Sorry to burst your bubble.

What gets me is that in modern sports they go through so many changes to eliminate every bit of clutter that could slow you down; the clothes, swimmers shaving their bodies etc. And then you top it off with big brightly colored wigs, haha..long waving hair.
