I raced both a 510, and a 1200, in SCCA: my completely subjective, absolutely unexpurgated opinion is… This is some of the best racing ever!

I watched all these cars race in the 1960s and 1970s on many West Coast race tracks. The Minis and Cortina GTs were kings. Alfas were fast too. Then came the Datsun 510s. There was a very fast VW Beetle with 356 Porches running gear. A stock Ford Lotus Cortina GT was a fast car. All I watch is vintage racing.

The yellow 510 (#93) was driven in the Central division SCCA by Dave Frellsen, and competed against the Toyota Corolla (#59) driven by Marv Thompson.

It would have been nice to see the fight for the lead, but i'm still glad SpeedTour TV produced this for us. It's great to see all the Bs out together.

First off thanks for posting this heritage race, but it was horrible, were are the leaders? .4 seconds apart and all you focus on was the mid field, yet you just talk about Troy Ermish, where is he?

It's vintage racing. The only ones who care who "wins" are on the track. The person taking and posting videos on youtube has his reasons.....Likely knows some competitors and is getting footage of certain cars.
