Marty, you are such a cool content creator! I just want to say that though some of your videos don't get that much attention, the attention and effort you put into reading comments and liking and chilling out with your audience is really special! You are really big help for me, on my adventure with learning guitar, and I will never forget how helpful you were when I look back 5, 10 years from now! Keep on making KZbin and the world a better, more musical place!

Marty, thank you so much for all of your hard work! Once again this was a fantastic video. I knew about the Broadcaster and then the Nocaster, but I didn't know why he went to Telecaster. The invention of the TV led to the naming of one of the most iconic guitars in history. Television - Telecaster.....Brilliant!!!

The guitar was hanging on a leather strap and a nail on the wall. It is the first tele ever made...it used to reside in New York. Amazing story that comes with that guitar!I've touched that guitar! Awesome stuff!

Hey Marty. For once i'm not gonna beg for Love Spreads By The Stone Roses. ( see what i did there)? No seriously for one moment. I've just had to endure the British X Factor "FOR A WHOLE HOUR OF MY LIFE." Sorry for shouting. And then sat and watched this. I really didn't think i would watch this whole thing. But you are not only a brilliant teacher . Your also not to shabby at the old interview. Your enthusiasm for this mysterious plank of wood strapped to the front of you is really inspiring . Cheers. Oh and big up to camera guy.

Pretty sure San Marino Blue is a 1954 Pontiac color, not a 1953 Buick color. Fender sent a bass to the 1955 NAMM show painted in it. This museum has an amazing number of amazing early custom color Fenders. Like it's amazing. Like so amazing you wonder if it's real. That kind of amazing.

I find it bizarre that this guy can get the history of one of his guitars so wrong. That red Fender was never a Broadcaster but instead started off life as Harold Courtright's two pickup Esquire #0009. It didn't belong to Arlis McMinn either, he owned #0095 which is featured in Fender historian Richard Smiths video on KZbin. Anyway, good job Vintage Guitar Magazine got it right. I did try emailing Songbirds but they didn't have the decency to humour me with a reply. Here's the link and original pic....... www.vintageguitar.com/17470/arliss-mcminn-and-the-california-playboys/
