I walked into this store and was looking at the cases of bursts. Elliot asked if I’d ever played one before. Told him I hadn’t and he opened the case and handed one to me. He left me alone in a room with a $350k. The staff was so cool. The dude’s at guitar center act annoyed and nervous when you ask to play a Les Paul, but this dude put one in my hands and I didn’t even ask. Shows how good of a dude he is.

I wanted to go in there and check stuff out when I was in town but they were so hardcore about masks I just told them they had a nice store and went down to Gruhn's and played some really sweet stuff. Carter's also had some cool stuff as well. It's just as well because I'm sure I couldn't have afforded anything in there anyway.

@@SimpleManGuitars1973 there’s no “hardcore” about masks. You Either wear it or not. You passed up on playing a real burst because you wouldn’t wear a mask in a store during a pandemic. Weird flex, but okay, bruh.

When I was a student, I used to hang out every afternoon at Rumble Seat in Ithaca. Eliot is the man. I'll never forget when he insisted that I play an original 58 Flying V through his 100watt marshall in the middle of the store. An experience I'll never forget!

I like shops that don’t try to be all things to all people but specialize in one area and do it well. Rumble Seat Music seems to be one of those stores. Love seeing a bunch of Les Paul Juniors hanging on the wall. One pickup is all you need and Juniors are rock n’ roll machines. I gotta get me one. I think I prefer the singlecut juniors because they have more bottom end tone-wise. Another great video and killer shop with an owner that knows his stuff. So cool Mark!!!

@auntjenifer7774
@auntjenifer7774 4 жыл бұрын
@@harrisjon1 I suggest you check out the Gibson Les Paul special double cut p90's tribute I think it's called, that is the one I got ! It's better than a Jr. Because it's got 2 P90 pickups and they come in black, brown, cherry and white and guitar center was blowing em out $430-$460 is what I paid for my brand new 2019 Gibson Les Paul special double cut Tribute model and it's freaking awesome, the tone of these p90's is closer to the 1958 PAF sounds to me and the neck is perfectly level and plekked Nice big wide neck with the slim profile just like custom shop re issue that cost$3700 so for under $500 USA Gibson is the way to go ! It's literally a life long lasting first electric guitar that you won't grow out of its that good ! I'd say check those out for sure because you can't get any better guitar until you spend $2,000+ and if you don't go Gibson I would suggest the new 2020 squier classic vibe telecasters as they are just as good as the the Gibson Les Paul special double cut p90's, that and PRS se custom 22 or 24 for modern sounds and also suggest you check out the Gretsch stream series or the new silver jets $299 brand new the pick-ups sounds great out the box and I've got at least one of all these so I can speak from experience with the guitar. Hope that helps you choose a good one and usually you can get pro level guitar for under $500 ! You just have to study before you spend and get the guitar in your hands as I didn't order on line o always bought in person to play the guitar first and they're all great from squier classic vibe telecasters up to the Gretsch stream series to the PRS se custom series up to the Gibson Tribute model series they are all great first guitars that will last a lifetime and despite growing and learning more advanced techniques the guitar will still be able to keep up with even the most demanding touring musician,I should know I've done it and played hard 3-4 nights a week with the squier classic vibe telecaster and the PRS se custom 22 heavy gigging with just those 2 guitars ! I've yet to put the Gibson and Gretsch through touring and bars and festivals but they are even tougher than the squier classic vibe telecaster and PRS se so there's no doubt that there Gibson and cheap $299 Gretsch will hold up to whatever abuse you can throw at it ! Hope my experiences with these instrument can help you decide for yourself ! Good luck on your new semi new journey into music !

@jakestewartmusic
@jakestewartmusic 3 жыл бұрын
@@TheChadPad Yeah, I figure that it's on their list of things to do. They've launched several KZbin features like this one, redid most of their product lineup, and transformed Epiphone. I imagine that amps aren't the highest thing on their list because they've had so much other work to do, but I think they'll eventually go for it. wouldn't be surprised if they get into the pedal market down the line too, though I hope they continue to focus on guitars first before getting too deep into that rabbithole
