Tom Johnson , the Malcolm Hoods are a widespread feature in the British Royal Air Force Mustangs, but not on American P-51Bs and Cs. For the USAAF, they are only installed on the planes of the squadron commanders and flight leaders. 🇺🇸

Uhh Sir. This is P-51C mustang. The version B use the side open cockpit. But C use the slide cockpit.

Nope, it is a B. The difference in B/C designation is where they were built. P-51B was built in Inglewood while C was built in Dallas. Malcolm hood was a field modification for improved visibility that was made to B and C Mustangs. The bubble canopy came as further improvement in visibility on the D.
