There's a Budhist way of praying called Metta it means love and kindness. In that prayer we pray for the lost loved ones as wherever they are now, in whatever forms, in whatever state, may they be happy, may they be peaceful, may they have part in my merits which I earned by good deeds. I give my metta to you and your family.

Having The Queen's personal bagpipe player walk away while playing her requested lament was an outstanding way for her reign and final journey home to officially end. The music fading away is so moving it makes your heart skip a beat. The finality was evident. Queen Elizabeth II has left this world. Now she can rest eternally and peacefully with those who went before her. Job well done, Your Highness. God Save The King. Sincerely, your cousin from across the pond.

Yes 70 year long rule over United Kingdom from 1952 to 2022, that makes her the longest rulling british monarch, when Victoria ruled for 67 years and now she is second in having the longest rule over great britain. She started her rule as 26 years old and ended it as 96 year old. I think Charles third will rule for maxium of 20 years, when he is already so old, like the same thing with the king after Victoria who was also so old by then, when Victoria ruled for so long.

Not really 😏 having your parent in your life until your 70's is a huge blessing and I don't believe its actually harder than losing a parent in, say, your 20's. Should you live a long life you then live it *without* their advice, assistance or protection. Your decisions and even well being are affected. I'm not trying to be a jerk but just the way Charles was lucky in being born royal, male and into a huge amount of money & resources he also got both of his parents until old age. Just ridiculous, how much some people are handed in life.

But those that lose their young parent will never have them by their side and go through that constant emptiness when they achieve something significant. HM the Queen lived the buttery smooth life than could ever be lived by a human being, she died because she was old, she was standing up, her organs functioning optimally 2 days before her death, she had no chronic illness, no disability, no cancer nothing. She died because humans can't live beyond that, except rare exceptions. On the contrary, her father was the one who suffered greatly and died in his mid 50s, ailing and bed ridden. I could even say William and Harry had it worse, losing their mum so young. Old people dying is a happy event, they're not putting their fam in danger or leaving them to fend for themselves.

She was the mother of her nation for many years. It is okay to cry. i am an American, and I did when I heard she had passed. Why is that? We have no king or queen. I'm not sure I'd let young kids in a funeral. I saw a 5 yr old sobbing as his Mom and him went up to his Dad's casket, and I lost it for that so young boy. It's not weak to cry, or to do it in Public, yet I know if say King Charles III, or any of the Princes and Princess Anne had cried openly, the nation, and the world couldn't have borne it. If it _must_ be a queen, then you could always try to meet Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. She's a lovely old lady who has ruled Denmark for 50 years (and eagle eyed folk might have spotted her attending Elizabeth's funeral). But if you're 13 then you might well be around for Britain's next Queen. At present the 7 year old Princess Charlotte is 2nd in line to the throne, although if her big brother George goes on to have kids, they will inherit ahead of her. If his first kid is a girl, then she'll be next after him. So who knows really, we could have another Queen within decades or not for a century!
