On June 1, 1980 CNN began broadcasting from its original
Atlanta Techwood Drive Headquarters. Two days earlier,
on May 30th, ABC Nightline previewed CNN's
upcoming launch. The program includes an interview with
Ted Turner as well as media critic Tom Shales.
