Here is a compilation of all the surgical extraction moments in this video: 24:40, Pay 2 life, discard a card: Peek. 30:55, Pay 2 life, discard a card, while blanking inquisition AND spell pierce (the valuable information of which was gained from the previous surgical) for that juicy value: Peek. 53:45, Pay 2 life, discard a card, before blockers: Peek. 1:03:32, Pay 2 life, discard a card, with a draw trigger on the stack: Peeking only some of it. 1:08:30, Pay 2 life, discard a card: Peek, and unsettle Cuneo on an emotional level. Turns out the absolute dominance of surgical is the true reason to be running tainted pact at the moment... (All this really reminds me of that one opponent who was obsessed with Opt...)

Around 1:18:00, you were musing about Disruptor Flute. It’d be a bit unusual with them having missed a land drop, but, if they knew what you were on, a card they could have had is Boseiju. A draw step Boseiju on a blue source would need you to have an untapped Island in the bottom two cards to win.

i’ve tried a grixis one in timeless. if you mull hard you can get a decent number of turn 3 goldfishes. but the increased interaction and speed of the aggro decks is just too fierce to make it viable in my experience

love some cuneo content I've also been testing pact and my list looks worse. One card I did like was shadows verdict because it catches flipped ajani. Brainsurge is another card that impressed me but maybe with only 3 fetches including lorien revealed it isn't feasible. Curious why you like mazemind tome? For scrying jace to the bottom?

The second game of match two the opponent conceded. I saw that he had no cards in deck and that he was about to draw a card. Did he have a way to instantly get thasas Oracle or Jace into play?
