Moving back west, we're in snow in Kentucky. At least when you jave snow in Wyoming you can ski, but her its the humidity cold. It can be 18 degrees in Casper and it don't feel as cold as 32 here. Say high Russ to my cousin JoLynn and Tom Cover. They move from Casper to Yuma last May.

Russ. Just wanted to let you know i really appreciate the fact that you share with us all the beautiful places you go and show us pics and drone footage. When i 1st began my travels full time i watched and found most of my campsites from your recommendations. I truly have found them all to be fabulous places. Heading to erinburg on Dec 28th. Have always wanted to go there just to be along the Colorado River. Plus i go into blythe for my ''juice'' lol. ✌ Puff Puff Passin By.

That brought back some memories from the post war years! We lived in Parker and used to take that road down to Blythe once every month or so to buy groceries. However the road is much improved over what we had. It wasn't much more than a cow path at that time. We had a 1936 Chevy pickup truck and had a shovel to dig ourselves out occasionally. We did live in Poston during the war years and in Parker and Parker Dam after the war. I turn 85 this year so had to dig deep for those memories. Thanks for the video!

We've taken that route on the way back home from Lake Havasu. The Hualapai marker can be hard to spot. There can be a lot of agri-traffic depending on the season. Even in the winter, Ehrenburg looks hot. Thanks for taking us along.

Thank you for the history ride along. All history is important, I hate to see when monuments and such are destroyed. It doesn't change anything, that time in the country still happened, good or bad, it helped to form the country. That's such a neat area, love the terrain, waterways, cacti and flowers. I was born in Glendale , Arizona but grew up in Blythe California. This area I've seen change from a two lane road crossing the river into Arizona and all the way to Phoenix to visit my maternal grandparents and family, into the I 10 four lane freeway that it is now. Unfortunately our travels through was usually in the summer and yes it was terribly hot sometimes reaching 120 degrees in the shade! Needless to say we would travel at night when it was a bit cooler, but only a bit (110 degrees).

I was planning on coming down there in January and check out Quartzite/Ehrenberg/Parker/Blythe. But then I thought: why see these things through a bug-splattered windshield when I can see them even better on my big flatscreen, in my recliner, with a drink in my hand?
