Congratulations on the restoration! That's incredible to see a piece of history being returned to it's original condition. I restore, maintain and operate vintage trolley cars in Oregon as part of the Oregon Electric Railway Historical Society (OERHS). I understand and appreciate the large amount of work it takes to make this happen. It feels really good to be able to use and apply knowledge of equipment like this and then be able to show off the work to the public when I run vintage trolley cars. I'm only 25 years old, and I've loved trains all my life, and preserving the history really makes me proud to bring a project like this one from it's very beginnings at the ground-up to a fully completed, restored, and operational piece of equipment. It makes me happy to see like-minded organizations saving historic railroad equipment like this for future generations to enjoy and for people of all ages to be able to gain a sense of old-time railroading.

Great Job to ALL the volunteers. quiet music , no yelling in the viewers face about how hard it is to rebuild the caboose. Very rewarding to me to see it done. My great grandad was an engineer out of Archbold Oh, lived in Butler Ind before retiring to the farm over in Lenawee County mi. I never met the man but heard stories of how his right hand was burned & crippled up in an accident. Wish I lived closer so I could come by once in a while to ck progress on all your projects

As someone who loves all things railroad related I have to confess that I love a caboose just as much as I love a locomotive. That caboose is a thing of beauty. Outstanding job 👍 Btw.....I have that same sink.

Absolutely wonderful job. Thanks so much for preserving these old gals. Why were cabooses painted green on the inside?

I grew up in Indiana and I can remember seeing the Walbash caboose. It was a sad day when they discontinued the caboose. I need to get to the museum for a tour.
