My wife's grandfather was a sheriff there. Dorsey Rosser. She remembers as a little girl she spent summers there living on the first floor. Dorsey's wife beatrice would cook for the inmates and the deputies. The women were jailed on the second floor and the men were on the top floor. We were visiting the area and grave sites today and stopped by the jail house and just missed it being open. Would like to have seen if there was anything in there that showed her grandfather's history with the jailhouse.
