This is awesome. My parents, the Kelly's, moved into a brand new home in Oakford in 1955-56. I lived most of my childhood on and around that "crick." Amazing to see what was compared to my memories. Great stuff.

Thank you for sharing this amazing film. My father was born in 1916 and my grandfather started his trucking company in Philadelphia back in 1912. My dad told of how, on some summer weekends, my grandfather would put benches in the back of his truck and haul family and friends from Kensington up the Neshaminy Falls. I have a couple of cherished photos from those excursions. I grew up a short walk from Playwicki Park and had an amazing time exploring the Neshaminy Creek as a kid.

No problem I'm glad I could share it with more people. All credits go to the original person who recorded it who I'm pretty sure has passed away. 😢

The homes featured in the video starting at 5:55 are probably N. River Drive?

Insane footage, thanks for sharing. Does anyone know who has the original video? It might be nice to give to the Bensalem Historical Society and possibly do a digital transfer of the film for preservation.

So I'm not positive who made the video but he recorded it on a VHS tape and gave it to some people. Later someone ripped it to DVD and neighbors on Creek Road where I live passed it around making copies. I thought it would be great to have it available online for everyone so I ripped the DVD and uploaded it here. I'm not sure where the DVD is but I'm not sure who has the original film 📽️ it could be long gone by now but this should work if they were interested. I also have a stack of 50 plus pictures that my grandfather took. They were all from the largest recorded flood in 1955 I think the year was. They are super interesting he has the originals. I digitized them all and retouched them all up I would gladly send them to the Historical Society if they were interested.

@@jesselogue2905 I think they would most definitely be interested! That would be amazing. Also going to ping @thisistomsworld who runs a local KZbin channel, who may be able to help facilitate. Thanks so much for this amazing upload!
