More than 5,100 Canadian military personnel served in the 1990-91 Persian Gulf War. Through the firsthand experiences of four Canadian veterans, reflect on Canada’s role in the war and on the legacies of this conflict, especially as it marked the first time that the Canadian Armed Forces sent women to war in combat roles.
This video provides educators an opportunity to present oral history as a valuable source and incorporate firsthand accounts into classroom activities and discussions.
