Hahaha - just saw the book label, your video deserves far wider coverage! Admittedly that quote won't sell millions of views, but you get the gist.

I employ a homemade version to retain my sanity while researching unspeakable esoterica and making my chthonic expeditions into the abyssal depths of forbidden mysteries; had a friend who did, too, after escaping U-boat captivity and spending a week in marine isolation though...when he ran out he made some insane rantings and threw himself from a sixth story window. It's a hard knock life for we....

I basically create this in my stomach with a codeine pill and a shot of hard liquor, 46 broken bones and teeth has inflicted significant pains in my body, primarily my right leg which all the large bones have been shattered once and/or broken a few times.

Both are opiates but can tell you from my own experience with both that laudanum s by far the strongest, was given laudanum to control my diarrhea when I had E. coli.

idk if it was the vibes i got from this video or just randomly learning about laudanum on a whim, but i was enthralled the entire time :) please make more videos like this :D great job!!

I agree. It has an ASMR-like quality about it.

that was, well, charming and not full of stock photos and clear attempts to imitate other bigger channels with inherent personality. which is nice. Also, as an addition to the trivia, Laudanum can be found and used in the game Amnesia as a "sanity potion". May be appropriate considering the events and setting of that game.

Sorry to add a third comment in a row, but that was terrific. I am a booze addict, somewhat in remission but occasionally abuse minor doses of codeine to alleviate my temptations, CWE to remove the paracetamol present in OTC versions of said drugs... Anyway that was a massive eye-opener. Many thanks.

What a great and informative video, thank you. Had heard of the substance and really wanted to know what it was. Didn't realise that it was booze and opiates, presumed (wrongly) that it was just a crude form of drinkable opium (I am not a scientist - and realise that it was a stupid assumption). Anyway, thanks. x

I've know this feeling of laudanum, truly, only once. An escape from pain wasn'tx my gain, nor what I desired, I felt it's administration for science. The experience certainly wasn't transcendental, but most efficacious. Alprazolam + Wild Turkey 101 is the easiest equivalent.
@AurenGlytterkat7 күн бұрын
Alprazolam is not an opiate. It is a benzodiazepine. And you should never mix benzodiazepines with alcohol; it can cause fatal respiratory depression. (ie, you stop breathing.)
