Nope the butler act was written by the governor of Tennessee which was in direct conflict with evolution. It was more of a globe earth evolution denial trial. Since schools received federal funding it was deemed schools shouldn’t be a biased source and involving alternative theory while continuing to allow churches to be ran as tax free alternative theories about creation were developed. With the basis that they could choose science or religion vs being forced to religion.

Ok, not looking to get roasted here. Honest question. Why cant it be both? Why cant evolution AND creation exist? Most religious texts say God created the world in 6 days rested on the seventh. But what is a day to God? Days, weeks, months..these are a human concept. Most of the natural world is timed on the change of seasons, generations being born, etc. And if God made humans, why couldn't He have made them out of life he had already created? This isnt touching on the subject that we are all just accidents of nature spinning around on a giant ball floating in an endless universe...we can set that aside for now because the odds of everything that has happened to create life being just millions and billions of tiny accidents happening at the same time and sequence, are so astronomical, I will leave that up to smarter people than me. Im just asking, why cant it be both? Evolution AND Creationism? Why must we believe there isnt a God if we believe in Evolution? Why must we DISBELIEVE science to believe in Creationism? Remember, honest question, not looking for insults.

God states in the Bible that there was evening and there was morning for each day almost to clarify that these were literal days, and you don’t have to disbelieve science to believe the Bible since all of science corresponds with a young hearth and matches perfectly with what is said in the Bible.

Evolution implies certian ideas that the Bible disagrees with namely the origin and reason for sin, the reason for death, the presence of justice to name a few. The fact is Evolutionists suggested certain observations in nature that were true and were new to the science of their time. But they drew implications that do not have much empirical certainty. For now it is mostly assumption.

I heard a "serious joke" the other day that I liked. Monkeys are watching human beings today and how they act. Then they tell their little ones, "don't believe this thing called evolution, these people Did Not evolve from us, we would never act the way they are acting". The ACLU filled a law suit against this law & today they file law suits against ANY Biblical View being taught or acted out (prayer) in school. Are they afraid that if students were taught both points of view that many students would learn that evolution is nothing more than the "secular religions faith" & that GOD is Truthful ?
