Incredible mental strength. Have seen lots of players (in different racket sports) losing momentum after lost match point opportunities. It's hard to keep going at the same level. She did it in the semi finals and in the finals, losing the 4th games from match point up, and closing it out in the 5th.

Really proud of this new Malaysian sensation Sivasangari. It's been years since a Malaysian won such a big event and Nicol David will be absolutely thrilled that there is now another player to finally take over her mantle. The goal for Sivasangari now is to continue with her training and to consistently beat all the top players. And if she can do that, her ranking will eventually go upwards. Based on her performance here, she's easily top 5 or even top 3 in the world....and who knows, even have a great chance to win Olympic gold. Squash will be making it's debut in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and Sivasangari should be primed for Gold by then.

So proud of both women!😎 Seeing her play against all the world's top players and execute with such authority, command, confidence, deftness of touch, accuracy and power elevates the Malaysian champ's game to one of complete control. It's a quiet domination from a diminutively-sized actual powerhouse. Hammamy looks every bit as sharp at this level of play and hit some outstanding shots but when you face an opponent who is completely "in the flow", it's still invaluable experience for her and a world class performance either way. Kudos to both!
