It is nice to see film again. I myself rescued a projector from the scrap heap and now have it running at my home in the country and it is a fun thing to do for a hobby

I'm so glad you were able to save this sweet machine from the scrap man. Its so nice to see it running so smoothly after almost 100 years. I know that same fun of putting one of these together, I'm doing a Vic5. I think we have the same platter too....

Graham, if you would find a film scanner (like the Lasergraphics ScanStation), would you do an HD scan of the 1994 Val Morgan Cinema Advertising logo?

Would you happen to know the name of the black and white movie you showed before 'dances with wolves;>'? It looked interesting, it showed the words 'The Fame; but imdb has no reference for that title.

How much and how do you go about purchasing a film like Dances With Wolves, and is it actually set up for 5 or 7.1 Dolby. Thanks so much for this. - Toronto, Canada.

Hi Mike The print I have came from an old cinema storage, its not something I bought just given, however you might come across one still lying around in a cinema somewhere, you never know. The soundtrack is Dolby Stereo

@@grahamritchie7508 thank you for your response. Do you own any others. Anything you have purchased. I have a dedicated home theatre, 3D, 2 level seating, LED Projection. Not a fan of DLP. Rainbow effects really bother me, and could also bother others if they notice it. But WOW Buddy...to have your own REAL PROJECTOR and be able to show the MAGIC of MOTION PICTURES they way it was meant to be seen. WOW. Maybe I missed some info. I will watch your video again. Did you buy the projector. Do you know what that projector would cost to buy. Thanks again. I amd going to hang around your channel to see what other things you have poster. And possibly subscribe.

Your welcome Mike it sounds as if you have a really nice home theatre, Video projecting is really where it is at these days. I notice you mention 3D, I use a little Epson for 3D and movies like Jurassic Park really look great. Jumping back to Dances With Wolves, I did project the blu-ray, but quickly lost interest when the English sub-titles "when the Indians speak" went of into my bottom masking. I could have adjusted things, but went for screening the 35mm print instead, thinking when the sub-titles came up, now that's better.

Graham I have since discovered how you became the owner of what was soon to be Scrap. So does that mean you paid nothing for it. And also how did you get the print? How much does a print cost you. I am really impressed and now that I know you were a projectionist it has answered many questions. Bravo Buddy, good work, must be a joy, and it sounds like it is. I will keep going through your videos. I am curious to see you home theatre arrangement, seats, any sound proofinig. While growing up most of my friends were interested in Sport, Cars, Music. However I had a passion for movies. And it all started with Star Wars and having my mind blown as a 8 year old. And it made me film, eventually video creater. I do Graphic Design, Audio / Video editing. I even create my own theatre bumpers, which I laso have manged to convert into proper 3D for when it is needed. I am not a professional carpenter or builder. But I did alot of research and carefully took about 3.5 months when I built my theatre. The plan was to move in 10 years, so I will be leaving it all behind. With plans to make a new and improved theatre, My design was a simple one. Where I concentrated on presenting the visual and audio of the room without any images or posters in the room which would take away from have the optimal movie watching experience. Front row would be like IMAX, and the second Back Row many would say is the best seat in the house, But I designed it so all the seats are great. I called it the iMIKE THEATRE. As in IMAX and not iPHONE.If you do a google search for "The iMIKE THEATRE Build you can see my documentation of my build. After upgrading year later to 3D, I created a 3D projection optomizing Bluray cause there were none at the time, and gave it to the forum and inter for free, I looked at and tested 4 different kinds of projectors, because the Technoloy was new I ended up going through 14 projectors cause of thins that I would notice after my test etc. And because I was using customer support in America (Apparenly I heard that they are more understanding then my Canadian offices) they appreciated my tests and feedback. They offered me the soon to be released 2nd version of their Projection, Extra 3D Glasses, and another bulb. In the end Fantastic, zero flaws EPSON 3020. Sorry for the long read. But figured we could both geek out discussing what seems to be a passion for the both of us. Google = iMIKE THEATRE BUILD. I don't know if I can post a link here but I will try. www.avsforum.com/threads/imike-theatre-build-my-first-theatre-project.1434446/

Went to your link Mike its brilliant, you did a fantastic job, its interesting you mention your daughter saying along the lines that they have lost you to that room. Years ago my family accused me of being anti-social, always out there never inside with us they said. So to fix things I thought OK I will spend more time with them watching TV. The thing was I wanted to watch the history channel, they did not. It got to the point my son would hide the TV remote so I could not watch what I wanted to watch. I gave up and went back to our wee home cinema, everyone was now happy, and never heard the word anti-social again. Its been a lot of fun though and we and others get enjoyment out of it, and that's what its all about.

So, in order to prevent a downward scanning variation, do you have to manually sync the audio of the camera to the video?
