At least, Asia-Pacific audiences in general (it's breakfast in Singapore when it runs, about 0600-0900, but that's still mid-morning in eastern Australia for instance), but also plenty of UK/European business visitors and ex-pats in the region too I imagine. It's certainly a lot easier to do it in Singapore than, say, Hong Kong these days - and with the merged channel now, going to a single-headed news in those hours isn't surprising me too much. (The UK feed, indeed, misses a small bit of the first hour due to simulcasts of the local 10 o'clock news and _Newsnight_ - which shows how important those hours seem to them.)

Nice video,as usual,BBC has one of the most iconic news intros in all of its programs,including BBC Newsday.It's an interesting news program,and with it comes an interesting intro,which has changed quite a lot though,but I like it.
