History of China(Sinitic Peoples)-Every Year

History of Sinitci Peoples is similar to History of China but this video is about a ethnic group and the dynasties they founded. So you can't see in video some dynasties like Yuan or Northern Wei. Also Qing Dynasty isn't Chinese. They were machu but I showed them in the video because the Qing Dynasty sinificated and assimilated to Chinese . And this state is very important for Chinese History. They were last great monarchy in histyory of China (the last monarchy is Empire of China of 1915-1916). so I added Qing Dynasty. Have a. good time !

@@aii_penguin9096 唐是皇族母亲为异族，但是中国是以父系为血统继承统治观的，你说唐有异族血统就不属于中国是不符合中国传统观念的，否则在世家门阀控制的那个时代他们也不会信服这个关陇贵族。 元的统治阶级血统没有华夏族，清也一样没有，他们只是除华夏族外的统治中国区域的国家。他们统治中国在文人眼里是天命，是承接上天的指令。但以大汉族主义和西方史观不是一个单一民族或者主体民族统治的国家不属于传承有序的。但是官方是承认的，明朝皇族和士族承认，民国统治阶级和精英层也承认皇族承接明，以及接下来的退位接续，手续是完备的。 以这个地图为例，我不是很理解放清朝而不放元朝，清朝任用汉官，也有汉军旗。元也有汉官，只不过政策上没有形成制度，可能是以这个非政策性，隐含歧视性的非汉人的统治时期不属于中国吧。 但是朱元璋是承认的，毕竟这是传统观念符合中国人传统观念，又是政治性的以及法制完备的接续国家法统，后人是需要承认的，而不需要跟随西方的史观。明朝对待蒙古前朝贵族也是善待的，可以居养在国境内，这是属于皇朝制度的一部分，所以也是承认上朝，传承制度的一部分。西方制图是可以拿自己的理解，但是中国人自己理解史观，是需要有自己的观点的。不能因异族统治就有屈辱感，或者是外人看来是不要脸的安祖宗，这实际都是不准确的。异族统治属于前朝统治阶级的错误，然后又有新一轮主体民族的崛起和承认前朝的承序地位，因为清和元时程序正义，这在政治上是完备的，这是正常的。

10:04 The last part is a bit problematic. The Han nationality is a national concept, while the other color blocks in the map (such as Wu, Minnan, etc.) are geographical concepts or language systems. These two things cannot be shown as the same thing. I live in the "Wu" area, where the local people are basically the Han nationality. The only ethnic minorities are even the third or fourth-generation ethnic blood relatives who claim to be ethnic minorities in order to enjoy government preferential policies. However, another point worth mentioning is that the Han nationality itself has also experienced many national integrations, so the so-called Han nationality itself is a mixed ethnic group. In terms of lineage alone, it is even possible to find some people who are Han nationality but the lineage are more like a minority than some people who claim to be minority.

Love the map! I am an American that loves reading history books. Chinese history was such an interesting read, and I can understand why Chinese culture is akin to Rome for this part of the world. Only it’s a Asia’s Romana that always somehow recovered. And it gave so much to places like Japan, Vietnam, or South Korea like Rome did to Europe. I know I’m oversimplifying a radically different culture but many similarities exist too amongst all nations. Such an incredible history, culture, and people. Hopefully both our governments can stop behaving like middle schoolers and do what’s right for our citizens. Behind the politics, there is so much more to a people.

Due to the different geographical environment and historical background, the culture of these places is not as unified as the plain of North China, but there is no doubt that most of these are Chinese culture. Why is the Manchu Qing Sinitic while the Shatuo five dynasties are non-Sinitic? The Shatuo people had used Han names for several generations when they established dynasties, but the Manchu kept their names until Qing ended!

The Mongols carried out mass massacres on populations in many northern China provinces till Yelu Chucai stopped them from doing so. As the Northern China peoples were seen as Jurchen-led Jin dynasty descendants who were oppressors of Mongol tribes for hundreds of years.

The maps look great, though what you chose as being chinese dynasties and what you excluded seems rather strange to me. For example, You inluded the Qing dynasty, which was founded by Sinicized Manchus(non-chinese) but omitted other such dynasties such as for example The Northern Wei, The Liao and Jin Dynasties, and The Yuan Dynasty. Those dynasties were also founded by sinified non-chinese tribal peoples (The Tuoba Xianbei, The Kitans, the Jurchen and the Mongols respectively), and their subjects were for a large part chinese, additionally their goverments were just as influenced by chinese culture and philosophy as that of the Qing dynasty's.

Manchu Chinese here. You're right. If you regard Norman dynasty as a British dynasty, then there is no reason to ignore Yuan dynasty. I think the reason that author included Qing rather than Yuan is because Qing was found on eight banners which itself consisted of Manchu, Han and Mongol, in which Han proportion was rather huge. Qing's expansion highly depended on eight banners and green army. However, Yuan dynasty except early days of Kublai khan, was largely a MONGOL dynasty. So even if mongol khans claimed themselves as the emperor of Middle Kingdom, they were not really that sinicized.

As a Malaysian Chinese with ancestors migrated from South China, I would like to add some accuracy to your narration. The term Chinese refers accurately to people originated from the land now called China. Many different ethnic groups lived in the land called China. We, Cantonese numbering 80 million people, like Zhuang people in neighbouring Guangxi province numbering 20 million, are quite different from the people from Northern China. Hence, you can consider Manchu people numbering 18 million or Mongol numbering 8 million, as Chinese. You can't grouped Manchu people or Mongol people apart from the Chinese because they are more similar to Northern Chinese than Southern Chinese, in terms of physical and facial features. So, Manchu/Mongol people will look more like Beijing people than Southern Chinese like me, Cantonese. Within Han Chinese there are actually various dialect groups and depending on location, has different physical and facial features. But your facts in general about the history of China except your omission of the Mongol rule which spanned almost a century, are in-depth, more knowledgeable than many Chinese. And your background music is wonderful.
