I'm pretty sure that Kenworth uses (or used) the DAF XF cab for their K500 heavy duty truck, and Kenworth & Peterbilt might be using the CF or LF cab for their medium duty cab-over trucks.

It’s sad that regulations severely limited cabovers here in America!!!! You only find them for refuse or certain construction models...

Actually, regulations DID cause cabovers to fall from popularity in the U.S.A. Relaxed length and weight limits basically killed them in most applications and that's fine with me! If you've ever driven, or even ridden in one, you'll completely understand. I HAVE driven AND ridden in a few of those old bone shakers and I don't miss them at all!

Hi loved your film on daf the daf engine was based on the leyland 680 engine which they licenced off leyland in 1986 daf and leyland joined together to make leyland daf trucks. The 95 cab was shared with two other truck firms pegaso Spain and seddon atkinson UK which at one time was owned by international.

Very interesting but I was very disappointed to hear that in a show entitled history of Daf trucks there was no mention of Leyland Daf at all Having worked for Leyland Daf for years in the UK it was widely known that the first engine used by DAF was a Leyland and during the 1980’s Leyland DAF came about combining both respective companies products Obviously this wasn’t to last forever but the 45 which was originally the Leyland roadrunner still has a family resemblance to the original Leyland product During that period Leyland Sherpa vans were taken on and developed into two main versions The 200 series ( lighter weight) 400 series ( heavy weight) The truck models were as all other products badged Leyland Daf I remember 2100 series all the way up to 3600 series The engines were so good We re- engined London Routemaster doubledecker buses It appears that instead of proper research You’ve got a load of photos of DAF trucks But not looked any further
