With duel links having entered the Vrains era, that means that we have at least three more history of duel links episodes that will come eventually. Zexal era part 2, as well as Arc-V era parts 1 and 2. When they will be released is up in the air, but we can look forward to it coming Eventually. And that brings me joy. :D

For the territory of the sharks skill : The deck and extra deck has a strict requirement of using only water attribute monsters . Otherwise u cannot activate the skill to change your water monsters to level 4 and can only be used twice per duel .

I left DL around the middle of the Synchro format, I just had a hard time controlling my spending since the sales were so easy to rack up. $2 for a bundle from a set just didn't seem like a lot until I found out I'd spent over $1000 in about 18 months. It's interesting to see what sort of metas developed after I left.

The early Zexal era, (with Infinite Ray, Photon of Galaxy, and Antinomic Theory), is genuinely a time I had a lot of fun with DL playing Photon, Water, and vibing with Zexal. The Duke, Primo, Quattro, SK Jaden later part of that spring is where the game went super downhill for me. Not everybody had Darklord or Crystron in their meta day, but *HARPIES* was everywhere after their push into meta.

@@zdelrod829 They finally took a slight hit with the Hunting Ground nerf. I'm fine with people at least prioritizing Magnets, PK, Actors, Gaia for the time. I like my BA and Melodious. And I have that DM Apprentice Illusionist deck too. Glad I can play Mels in Turbo now. Harpies is no longer as unbearable as it was this summer.

You want a counter to Harpies? Number 18 Heraldry Patriarch. They are all treated as Harpy Lady, so Number 18 nukes 'em all to kingdom come.

32:30 is what ended my enjoyment of duel links. After that ban list the meta and decks had regress to become weaker and weaker and more stagnant. To the point when many just left the title out right or transfer to master duel a year later.

yeah kind of true do I kind of stopped playing somewhere during 5D I did make a quick comeback to Darkside dimensions era ( I find it kind of weird how this was released before Zexal , arc-V and Vrain) also this was around the time when I was thinking about leaving card games to be honest( I used to play a lot of card games back of the 2010s late the 2010s and I was more to Hearthstone to be all this) although Master duel was just released January 19, 2022 ( a year in the month later) but yeah ( although that game I always feel like as like the more like the original game/Legends of runeterra despite having its own banlist) and had some fun and I also have recently came back to the card game stuff ( as well as shadowverse by the way)

What find hilarious about Invoked Cocytus is that at the time, I didn’t understand why it was getting nerfed so much, because I was still running Powertool Dragon + Mage Power + Power of the Guardian and just ran it over. I never had issues getting rid of it because I had always had access to a massive beat stick.

The Meta in DL pretty much evolves as skill power evolves. At first Skills were just side additions, then they became Consistency skills like Onomatoplay, then become Playmaker skills like Xyz Galaxy

Ah, back in the day I could use See You Later! with Fire Kings even before the release of Arvata that pushed it even further, I really don't know why this Skill doesn't become popular in the ladder with this Deck because it was really consistent. By playing first, you could just set the small Garunix or Yaksha or summon Arvata in the first turn, then if it survived, pop it back to hand with the Skill and start an ofensive strategy with Onslaught like a start playing second play. Also, after set up the Garunix loop, it could help you to stop if you need to by poping one High Garunix back to hand and switch to a control strategy with Arvata instead. I really loved to play this Deck with this Skill, it's too bad that the abuse of Star Seraph engine killed it. I recorded my January 2020 KOG run with it at that time, it's still available in my channel for those who want to watch.
