Far cry on next gen hardware would look incredible! It was impressive seeing what they could push out of farcry 5. I think it would be an interesting choice to go with a more urban environment for the new game, changing up the stealth and gameplay quite substantially, but still allowing lots of buildings and streets to explore. here's hoping Ubisoft will announce something for farcry (or a new splinter cell)

My biggest gripe with 5 was the absence of the kukri/knife takedown system, my second biggest gripe with 5 was that the majority of the guns in the game were horrible and there was nothing we could do about it. 4 is just a better balance of the much more satisfying guns from 3 and the better movement mechanics and visuals of the later games. Also 4 had the recurve bow. I love the recurve bow. I get immense satisfaction from making a perfect long range chest shot with the recurve bow. I may or may not still hold several world records with the recurve bow. *RECURVE BOW IS MASTER OF ALL*

I'm playing for the third time far cry 4, it is my favorite far cry and I continue to find things that I didn't know. The graphichs holds on very well, and for me it looks better than far cry 5 and new dawn (exept the water). I hope to see a far cry with an engine similar to battlefront 2 or the new cod, with a tipe of villains similar to vass or min and WITH OUT LEVELS. FAR CRY ISN'T A GDR!

I actually liked the radio towers it added a very fun little side excursion and you had incentive to get them as it would give you a free weapon with each one and the hunting animals to craft the various holsters and bags was a very well and interesting touch to the games that allowed the player to get a unique experience not usually associated with the one man army type games and farcry 5 went pretty much right back to that and doesn't have the same replay value as the past 3 and 4 entries because there aren't as many side quests and rare animals to hunt like there were in those two games I'd prefer to see them go back to the way 3 was with an insane antagonist and the rare animals and hunting to craft your equipment with that is what made those games unique and so much fun to play.

One of the reasons i love farcry 3 do much is because it actually tried to explain why you murdered so many people. It had a genuine character arc and it was very interesting. At least to me it was.

Far Cry 3 is one of the best entries imo. I love the fact that Jason Brody is just an average person, like all of us, who had no experience with anything that the island threw at him (guns, drugs, killing). I love the fact that he had to adapt to this change and he slowly started to reach the heart of insanity (Vaas & Hoyt).

Far Cry Primal was a great game to never make again. I never found it awkward to play but I agree it was difficult to relate to the characters. That's what made me like the story, it was a new take on the old formula. I found myself feeling like a caveman when I made a torch and immediately had to test what I could light on fire. It was undeniably simplistic, but it was pure fun to get into

If I had to pick one as my favorite, I would go with FC 1. Not because it outshines its following sequels in any particular way, I choose it because when I played the original on PC at release, it was an experience that I had never had with a shooter. The jaw dropping graphics (for the time), combined with the huge maps and the open ended approach to objectives was the recipe for gamer bliss and gaming moments I'll never forget.

Now, even though i am more of a fan of 3 and Blood Dragon, i honestly feel that Far Cry 2 is objectively the best, at least from immersion and small details like how enemies will actually drag their wounded into cover, or how enemies who are critically injured will crawl up to and lean against a wall, or how dust clouds you leave behind from your car trail off the way the winds blowing. I honestly haven't played any Far Cry game so far that has been as immersive. Again, nothing wrong with preferring other games in the series and finding Far Cry 2 bad, its just my thoughts

Far Cry 2 gives you an oportunity to feel the war in Africa, to feel people and their fear, to connect with them...to feel the brutality of war. Definitely ahead of its time. It's more than a game. Ubisoft's masterpiece❤

Far Cry Primal is my favourite of the series even I know is not popular opinion....., game have best pet system of any game also wild life is amazing and set up of game is pretty unique, there is non such games specially on triple A budget, day and night cycle change everything also, alone in jungle nighttime in begining when still dont have any pet I felt like Jake Sully from Avatar, all predators coming to attack you and is not just that game is very unique and highly underrated, I just not have words for this game, game blow my mind.

@@corey8654 I LOVED far cry 4 and cant really understand why people like far cry 3 more than 4. Yeah vaas was better villain but that is the only thing. I think the reason was, that I played far cry 4 before far cry 3. After playing far cry 4, far cry 3s gameplay felt pretty bad and I just played main story. Far cry 4 was first game that I have completed 100%.

The original Far Cry featured the best atmosphere. From an idyllic sunlit landscape, where the only concern are mercenary troops, to gloomy research facilities, where savage mutants run loose and leap out of the shadows much to our dread. For me it was an unforgettable adventure that I wish to experience again but in a slightly different form.

I always find shooting in first Far Cry the best. When you set the M4 to single fire and shoot enemys from a distance and air cross lights up on red ... love that feeling. Shooting was just so crispy

Out of all the FC games I’ve played, 3 is definitely my favorite. It has the best story, great gameplay, and amazing graphics. I love every FarCry game that I have played so far with those being FC 4, FC 5, FC New Dawn, FC 3, and FC 3 Blood Dragon.

I started playing PC games in 1993-94 (yeah I'm old lol) and it's just amazing to see how the gameplay and graphics have evolved. I have finished multiple times each FarCry on PC (1, 2, 3, Dragon Blood, 4, Primal, 5 and New Dawn). My favorites are : 1 - FC Primal ; 2 - FC 4 ; 3 - FC 3.

Far Cry 4 was my favorite, it was my first Far Cry game but the music, the nature vibes, Shangra la, the Alps, just all came together beautifully, then Primal, was so fun to have minimal weapons and play in Caveman times, then 5, then New Dawn, I played 3 remastered for a few days , great villain but I know its a weak reason but going back to worse graphics I just couldn’t get into to it, I never played 1, 2 or blood dragon

Primal is my favourite of the series. The world is amazing, so detailed and immersive. Gameplay - especially with right settings like Survivor mode + Expert difficulty - is one of the most exciting and challenging experience I've had. And I actually like the characters and the story. It is short yes, but unique and focuses on themes like friendship, unity and humanity.

It's interesting to see the comments from people stating their favorite version and realizing that every version has people who consider it their favorite. That's unusual and a tribute to how good each installment actually was. While each one will have things that could have been improved (at least in the eyes of some people), there are no complete trash versions (except in the eyes of a few, I guess). I enjoyed FC1 but lost interest in the series for a few years. I really enjoyed Primal exactly because the setting was different. As you state in your video, you can only do so much with a tropical island. At this point, my favorite has been FC5, although I wasn't a big fan of the DLCs. I enjoyed New Dawn a lot, but it felt like it should have been FC5's DLC. I particularly enjoyed seeing some of the same characters 15 or so years after FC5 ended.

im surprised you didnt like primal. personally its my favourite of the series behind 4 and by far the entry I spent most time on. learning the bow aim, taming and utilizing different animals for situations, the expanded possibilities of combat because of that companion system, the shift to melee weapons which each had different uses and mechanics. the same, hunting and gathering feel as 3 and 4, and the personal settlement to upgrade like 4 had. I get so jittery and excited just thinking about it, because of how well each mechanic worked together to keep me invested. by late game you had companions that were super strong and could ride to make everything easier instead of tedious and repetitive, which made getting 100% completion more enjoyable. i have such strong and profound memories of playing it.

Far Cry 2 online with custom maps was so much fun! You could make go kart tracks and secret bunkers in bushes. You could join lobbies with huge custom maps and make new friends through game chat since it wasn’t sweaty competitive. Multiplayer was just starting to hit it’s stride in 2008 which made Far Cry 2 one of the first games with a true customization community. Far Cry 2 online was the first game I played where meeting new people and gathering lobbies together was what made the game special.

The story was great the setting and feel of the game is also great. Most of the missions were never unfun to play and i had fun for hours on end

Far Cry 1, 2, and 3 had different feel to the gameplay, as if the developers were trying new and/or different things. Also, the world scenery, ambiance, and special effects were also different in all 3 of them (even though the 1st and 3rd were set on tropical islands). I loved the 2nd one for the way you felt immersed into the African scenery, with the sound effects too, and attention to details. Overall I think the first 3 were the best because there was something different in terms of gameplay, visuals, and story lines.... The rest that followed felt pretty much the same each time aside from obviously different locations and story lines, but overall feel to them was pretty much the same (same ideas in crafting, weapon wheels, skill sets, etc.). I wish they could bring back the style of Far Fry 2 scenery and gameplay!

Big fan of the franchise. Purchased these games completely out of order, started with FC 4 with no idea what this game was about, first run with an open world game in anticipation of Ghost Recon Wildlands. I thought FC4 was great (except shangali). Next i purchased Blood Dragon, really neat, but short. Next FC5 and big time into Arcade, followed by New Dawn and last month picked up FC3. Can't wait until FC6! Never tried Primal, FC is a shooter game and it didnt fit the formula! Nice video.

Primal is my second favourite of the series, after 3 (I include Blood Dragon with 3 as it's essentially an add-on for it). They had the balls to use the far cry formula and blend it with a totally different era. Those that want Far Cry as the shooter don't seem to like it, but I love Far Cry for it's story and world design and Primal gives me what I want from the norm that was getting a little tiring. It cleansed the palate perfectly, making me excited for 5 (and New Dawn), and they have managed to keep it fresh. Ubisoft has proven that it's willing to do something different, and sometimes a change of scenery is a good thing.

Far cry 4 has more open world elements such as random encounters and more varied missions. That's why I think 4 is better than 3

Aaaaaah guys do you remember when you just bought a new gun in farcry 2 and basically try to be a tryhard? I do and I remember using my bought sniper till the end without breaking it, it was a long journey for me and my sniper

It's pretty incredible how little Farcry has changed over the last 10 years. Still climbing radio towers, still capturing checkpoints, still burning fields of drugs with a flamethrower that looks exactly the same.

Primal is my favourite bar none. I just love it, the setting, design, the different languages and its so immersive. I also enjoyed the weapons a bit more because by the 4th game I grew tired of the same formula each game more or less offered so it came at a good point, I also think Primal was a better fit for the drugs/narcotics/psycadelics theme each itteration seems to have to have for no good reason. But my favourites are Far Cry: 2 and Far Cry: Primal and I suspect it has a lot to do with the immersive components and the way they play a bit different than the others. I also liked 3, 4 and of course 5, aswell as the original, not the biggest fan of Blood Dragon though I think its my least favourite despite having a great soundtrack.

Far Cry 2 sounds really cool, as it demonstrates that increasing realism on some margins (having to clear gun jams, fix cars, and get malaria pills) is not always desirable.
