One of the best things about the new Hitman 2, in my opinion, is they actually hired voice actors from the countries you are in, hearing an American guy accent out of someone from a foreign country was always so immersion breaking.

After watching a couple of nick's history videos, it has become apparent to me that he either has no clue about music and its use or chosen deliberately to not include it as musical impact is highly subjective and not quantifiable for a review. Either way, it's pretty obvious he has no taste for art and just talks about things that can be objectively described. I personally believe that it's a bad way to summarize history of a videogame series that way, but to each its own. he's not doing a bad job the way he does it, but it could be better.

I earned the Marine's Semper Fi music award for playing trumpet, was first chair in jazz and symphonic band, worked at a guitar shop for 2 years, played bass guitar and electric for 2 different bands, and have done lead vocals for another. I know about music my friend, but I choose not to deliberately focus on music because A - it's subjective, and B - it's very often copyright protected and therefore can't be used for many of my videos. Adding in a bunch of subjective opinions is exactly what you should NOT do when talking about the history of a franchise. This is a documentary on the franchise that details how the game series have evolved, not how I think it should have evolved.

Things IOI should bring back to Hitman: 1) An intriguing story ala Blood Money. 2) First-person mode 3) Human shield 4) Spendable money earned based on mission rating. 5) Weapon customization 6) No more magic pockets! 7) Sneaking weapons out of levels to keep them. 8) Safehouse to store weapons and practice. 9) Duel wielding Silverballers 10) Jesper Kyd Feel free to add any other suggestions. Update 1/4/21: So because Hitman is coming to an end soon with the release of Hitman 3, I figured I would do another list of what I feel would make Hitman a more immersive experience: 1) In-depth metagame involving planning and preparation, allowing you to interact with different black market vendors that specialize in weapons, concealment, notoriety, and intel. 2) New approach to disguises, only allowing you to disguise yourself with certain disguises that fit you and only at specified locations, like bathrooms. 3) Better map that clearly marks which areas are restricted based on what disguise you have. I'm tired of getting spotted for trespassing for a millisecond. 4) Using money to spend on weapons, attachments, disguises, different insertion points, getaway vehicles, etc. 5) Bringing back notoriety system from Blood Money and expanding on it. 6) Have useful gadgets and unlockables!!! I'm tired of reskinned gadgets! 7) Make the hard-to-earn suits actually have some sort of perk (less likely to be detected, more health, etc.). Using these suits will not allow you to earn money in the mission. 8) Have optional side missions that allow you to earn more money at the risk of getting spotted and making the targets harder to kill. 9) Include some short, linear levels that break up the action and move the story along. They can be straight sneaking ala Splinter Cell. 10) More realistic physics! Shooting someone in the head with a sniper rifle shouldn't send him flying 10 feet!

I love the game how it is! Human shielding is for escalating an already bad situation to worse. The game designers want to focus on deescalating situations. They have said so. Same with first person. The only purpose it would serve would be for combat situations and they are focusing on the social stealth and NPC manipulation aspects of gameplay. In addition, the level of detail needed on every in game object would have to double to stand up to being viewed first person.
@retropulse036 жыл бұрын
I agree - now that they have basically nailed the core stealth elements, adding in First Person and Human Shield as options in your toolkit could only be a good thing. Particularly would be great if you can execute from human shield with your gun to their head or a knife into their neck.
@bttrade62866 жыл бұрын
Human shield was useless. And I agree while 1st-person view is fun but its functionality is very limited. Its peripheral vision view on the side is very narrow so when you switch to 1st-person view, you can't see any of the surrounding environment that it really sucks when you are trying to complete a mission.
@JoeArbiter6 жыл бұрын
Watch any speedrun of HBM ever. The human shield was most definitely NOT useless, it was actually one of the most OP maneuvers in the game. I've found it so confusing when series that I've never heard of before like Hitman or God of War release a title named after the series with no number on it and no subtitle, so it looks like they're the first game in the series, but then people online are talking about previous games. So, it's definitely nice to get a video like this explaining the history of it all. I picked up Hitman 2 after seeing folks play it online and man was it worth it. _Awesome_ game, and I hope that IO Interactive gives us more Hitman games for years to come - though they could go a _long_ way simply adding more levels and challenges to Hitman 2, which they do seem to be doing.

My love for this franchise started on the PS2.. the old hitman2. I was awful at the stealth aspect, but I loved replaying levels and just going full commando. Then after that I played blood money, wherein the stealth mechanics were way more forgiving, contracts and absolution further fueled my love for the series. As of today i have hitman3 with 2&1 loaded inside of it, play frequently and still can't get enough of challenging myself to do things in bizarre fashions 😁 Roll on hitman 4,5 & forever! 🤣

the whole story made no sense though, hitman read a letter right after killing Diana, only to then go off asking "Birdie" questions which the letter already answered. Then the cowboy comes out of nowhere, who had nothing to do with the beginning of the story and becomes the main villain for pretty much the entire game. Then at the end, Victoria throws away the necklace which has until that point been shown to be necessary for keeping her alive. It's like they weren't really sure what they were doing with the story... even though it was meant to be a story driven game
@FusRoDah26 жыл бұрын
@@Mr47steam You are right about their being issues with the plot. Don't even get me started on Birdie. Dexter is definitely thrown into the story awkwardly at the start, but I do think he is an awesome villain and the voice actor did an excellent job bringing the character to life. I think the story gets pretty good once Birdie is mostly out of the picture, the Nuns get massacred, and Victoria is kidnapped. No matter how cocky and wealthy Dexter is, we, 47 know that we will put a bullet in his head. I never understood Victoria throwing the necklace away at the end...

I was really sad to see the them abandoning the Absolution sequel, the story ended at a really interesting cliffhanger and I am still mad that we will never get to see a satisfying conclusion to the story.... IDK why ppl were bitter about Absolution, even though Hitman reboot is amazing, it still lacked story... Absolution had story along with gameplay, just a little bit restrictive and served narrative, nothing catastrophically bad, EA and Activision franchises have done much much worse and are still continuing... IO should have at least concluded the story....

am i just imagining or was there a mission where you could dress up as the target
@EduardoFerreira-gi7wo4 жыл бұрын
There were actually lots of missions were you could do that, in the first game you could take the target's dentist outfit, but it was useless, just there for the player to think it was usefull and ultimately fail cuz the dentist secretary always recognizes you. In blood money you could dress up as a target at a hotel and as a CIA agent that was the target on one of the last missions, and in contracts you could kill one of the targets also by dressing as another target that would come to buy a bomb.
