(Corrections listed below) This video was a fun one to put together. So much of this series I got to experience for the first time (Halo wars 1 and 2 in particular were a lot of fun!) As stated, this video was primarily recorded on an AMD PC with the halo infinite LE 6900xt gpu. Thank you AMD for hooking me up! Theres also footage of the original xbox releases to give you a better idea of what these classics used to look like. I also want to thank EpicMusicTrailerUK for providing a fantastic opening piece to accompany the intro. And latenightgaming for providing many hidden easter eggs throughout the video ;) Enjoy!! Corrections: -Arbiter in Halo Wars is not the same one from Halo 2/3. What I meant to say is Halo Wars gives players insight into what the Arbiter was doing prior to the Halo saga, as in the Arbiter position - not the character commonly referred to as the Arbiter. -Halo Wars released in 2009 not 2003. -In Halo 2, Chief and Johnson are being awarded for events that occur in one of the novels, not the destruction of Installation 004 -I keep getting some comments claiming that the ring in the title sequence is reversed. It is not. Though it apparently is an optical illusion for some people which I find interesting. -343 Industries* not interactive. Said interactive once or twice by mistake

It was really a shock to play an FPS 20ish years later when I jumped into CoDWW2 and shortly after buying that, MW2019. You kids shredded the dude who dominated the garage… lmao! Remember playing Halo CE co-op through the night when it first came out all those years ago. I played all the X-Box and 360 games again recently and my favourites are 1, ODST and Reach, I think 2 has the better storyline but 3 is more enjoyable mechanically, apart from anything to do with the Cortana story, which is handled so insultingly poorly. Halo 4 is extremely exciting but very lonely... your marines all get killed off so quickly and in some instances just disappear. Overall, I guess 1 and ODST are my faves. ODST has the best music, and I like wandering about the city at night.

I remember this releasing my freshman year in college and hearing there was a game that guys were playing in the dorm able to link 4 consoles and house 16 total players, just the idea to me I recall being mindblowing. We had a waiting list for open spots for people to jump in, and people would skip entire days' worth of classes, either so they wouldn't lose their spot, or because the CTF matches would run so long., the longest I remember lasting 8 hours from night to dawn. Our RA's at one point gave up telling us all to stop yelling between rooms. I also remember my GPA that year being less than admirable, but I have never had more fun playing any console game or multiplayer.

Absolutely above and beyond in terms of the work and effort on this again. Really well done. I’d have to say the online experience brought on with Halo 2 was truly unbelievable. It was a brand new frontier of gaming for myself and so many others at the time. However, with that said, when I think back to my favorite memories with Halo, it has to be Halo 1 and the system link. My older brother who was a senior in high school while I was a freshman at the time, would invite me to his friend’s houses on a Friday night after school. We’d pick up a few kids down the street who were even younger than I was by a few years to have enough players and another Xbox and TV. Nothing was cooler than hanging out with the big kids, having pizza delivered connecting up all the Xboxs, finding out another friend could come last minute and bring his Xbox and some more friends, hearing each other yelling or cheering from other parts of the house and then all reconvening in the kitchen to eat more pizza and talk about what just happened, then make new teams and head back for more. Truly some of, if not my favorite memories.

As a hardcore fan of Halo since 2002, i enjoyed every minute of this huge compilation of videos and history of an amazing saga. Thank you so much for your effort putting this together. It's interesting the way that companies learn from their "mistakes" (which are probably for the unbelievable deadlines that CEO's thirsty for gains put into every project, even when those in charge are not even fans of the great storytelling that this series has to offer) Let's face it, with the enough amount of time developers/designers/script writters will have the opportunity to create a good piece of art, whether be Halo, Marvel movies, DC projects, you get the idea. It's all about time and listening to the fans, and 343 in this case did a good job at listening to us. Expecting more of Halo for the decades to come . Halo Forever.

@@Spillow-C listen to yourself. You play infinite and you tell me, its not fun as hecc. Because it is. The reason I keep playing the multiplayer, is because its F U N, and that's what games are all about in the end. But yes, apparently I have low standards when it comes to games. But that's not a bad thing. I can tell if a game if bad. I don't care for 343 anymore, but I am upset about what is happening with infinite at the moment, the game has potential to be amazing. Maybe better than reach.... maybe. As for the campaign. Yes it has some flaws, don't all games. But I thought the story was good. Not poor and over the top like halo 5, not boring like halo 4. It was simple, 3 main characters, just them on the ring, the story had time to focus on them, and show a bit of chiefs human side. And I liked that. Escharum will not as memorable as say, truth, or 343 guilty spark. He's definitely better than that cardboard cutout of a villan from halo 4. The open world while a bit bland, it was different enough to enjoy exploring it. There you have it. That's why I personally really enjoy halo infinite as a halo game. And yes, I was there when halo began, back I the OG xbox days.
