Yes we are Jabarti tribe ...I am from Somalia and we are proud our father Shiekh Jabarta . Based on early Islamic writtings this tribe of ours where ever we are in Somalia, Sudan,Ethiopia,Yemen,Kenya and Eritrea we are the children of Shiekh Jabarta.

الجبرتي وش يرجع: يرجع تاريخ قبيلة الجبرتي إلى بني سليم في بني بركة، فقد عاش الجبرت مع بنو سليم في حلف بحدود قرية القعر في الجنوبي من وادي ساية وهذا النسب جعلهم ينتمون إلى جبرتيين الظبية فقد أكد النسابون أنهم بنو عمومة يلمسون شجرة عائلة الجبرت من الجد الأكبر العاشر أو الاثنا عشر، كان البحث في نسب الجبرتي من أصعب العمليات على المؤرخين بسبب الامتداد الطويل للعائلة وفروع شجرتها بين إفريقيا وشبه الجزيرة العربية وحدود اليمن، فكان الخروج بأصل نسبهم يتطلب وقت طويل.[1] عائلة الجبرتي من أي قبيلة: الجبرت من قبيلة سليم “السلمي” وهي قبيلة تقع في منطقة الظبية التي توجد على طريق المدينة المنورة، العقيلي السلمي هذا النسب الأصيل الذي يمتد إلى أشراف القوم في شبه الجزيرة العربية والمملكة العربية السعودية بالتحديد جعل النسابون والمؤرخون يؤكدون أن الجبرتي يرجع إلى آل البيت من عقيل ابن أبي طالب. نسب قبيلة الجبرت وش يعودون: يعود نسب قبيلة الجبرت إلى النسل الصالح من الأشراف وهو عقيل بن أبي طالب عم رسول الله محمد عليه الصلاة والسلام، لكن الإثباتات القانونية التي تؤكد هذا أنسب الذي يقوله الأجداد ضاعت في الحوب وخلال هرب عائلات القبائل من مكان لآخر، فيقول البعض أن نسبهم الجبرتي العقيلي الهاشمي القرشي بن هاشم بن عبدالمطلب بن أبو طالب بن عقيل من محمد من عبدالله من مسلم من عبدالله من أحمد من علي من إبراهيم من عبدالله. أصل عائلة الجبرتي من وين: يمتد أصل عائلة الجبرتي من الحبشة في أفريقيا بالتحديد جزيرة جبرت ومنهم في أرتيريا داخل مدينة جبرته وهي جغرافياً ممتدة على الحدود اليمنية، لذلك تجد أفراد من قبيلة الجبرتي في حضرموت والصومال وزبيد وعمان، وقد انتقل الجد الأكبر بعد انتهاء المعارك بين القبائل من الحبشة إلى الحجاز فمنهم في المدينة المنورة، الكثير من بطون العائلات وأفخاذها ممتدة من أفريقيا وصولاً إلى شبه الجزيرة العربية فقد كانت القبائل تهرب من الحروب بين العائلات إلى الحبشة طالبين الأمان وهناك إما يستقرون أو يعودوا بعد انتهاء الحرب. dont any of you guys search the history of zaila????? since you are ignorant person ima educate you. Im from yemen and to this day yemen has ancient cushitic structures and wonders. Yemen was inhabited by cushites. The modern arabs in the middle east who carry j1 haplogroup are persians from way up north, and by the way not all arabs carry the j1 haplogroup, majority of them carry e31b just like the south yemeni people. Muqdisho is a very old city, older than most people even realize. The first dynasty to rule Muqdisho was the Tubba’ dynasty of the Himyar kingdom, with the king “Ascad Karb“. Ascad Karb is most likely As’ad Abu-Karib ibn Malik-karib, a king of Yemen who ruled between 418 and 433 CE and a convert to Judaism by Yathrib’s Jewish community following a military campaign there, this dates the foundation of the old town of Xamar Weyne to roughly 420-430 CE. Amharas, tigray and other semitic speaking ethiopians are said to be from the himyar people, thats why genetics prove there isnt any difference between, semitic speakers in ethiopia and somalis, in tigray and eritrea there is a tribe called jeberti, but these jebertis have same genetics as the other semitic speaking ethiopians, and in somalia theres darrod and isaac but these people have same genetics as any other somali cushitic. Cushites in yemen were called adenites, jeberti is not a myth jeberti and other arabs from yemen did cross the red sea to zaila, a lot of you somalis dont even read the history of zaila, anyways jebertis and other arabs spread in the horn, some went to tigray some went to eritrea and some went to somalia, if a darood somali goes to east side of yemen, arabs will give him or her houses to live, food to eat and will be taken care of, i was born in yemen aden but my family is somali from xamar, and when ever i visited the east side of yemen they welcomed me and my family, they will call a darood somali cousin/ibnat khala, and teach you the history of darod, theres an old arabic book that explains all the tribes in yemen, and jeberti/darood is when of them.

well you have to distinguish between"cushite" in the linguistic sense and the proper meaning of the term which includes all people belonging to the group which was before known "Eastern Hamites".m using cushite instead of "hamite" because it is historically negative connotated while "cushite" is the term which 1.was eternally used to describe all the horners and sudanese and 2. refers to the ancient glory of our people (ancient kush). Amharas, Tigrinya, tigre, gurages, haderes, argobba, zay and the disappeared gafat people speak ethiosemitic languages of the of the south semitic branche, afar, agew, oromo, somali, beja etc. Even Geez as the oldest known ethiosemitic languages contains a lot of Cushitic vocabulary. BTW , southsemitic legacy in yemen, oman and parts of so called Saudi arabia are more connected to Kushites then to north africa, thats why yemenis people are majority e31b, and for jeberti people; if you go to south yemen and say your darod somali, or just jeberti, then those arabs will give you a house and food and will be taken care of. search up the different arab tribes in Yemen dorod or jebertis will be in there. also, search up the himyar kingdom of yemen, the himyar are said to be from ethiopia somewhere tigray or eritrea, these himyar people, even the capital city of Somalia magdusho is named after a himyar man. اعتنى المؤرخون العرب بتدوين اخبارهم وألفوا في ذالك كتبا وممن اعتنى باخبارهم العلامة المؤرخ المقريزي(المتوفى 845 ه =1441 م) الذي ألف كتابا سماه (الإلمام بأخبار من بأرض الحبشة من ملوك الإسلام) كما أورد كثيرا من أخبارهم في كتابه (السلوك لمعرفة دول الملوك ) والمؤرخ القلقشندي (821 ه = 1418 م) في (صبح الأعشى في صناعة الإنشا) والمؤرخ المقر الشهابي ابن فضل الله العمري (749 ه = 1349 م) في كتابه (مسالك الابصار في ممالك الامصار) والمؤرخ الحافط ابن حجر العسقلاني (المتوفى 852 ه = 1449م ) في كتابه (إنباء الغمر بأبناء العمر) وكذا في الدرر الكامنة وتلميذه الحافظ السخاوي( المتوفى 902 ه = 1497م) في (الضوء اللامع) (18) نفس المرجع السابق 13 واليكم نماذج من أقوال بعضهم في اثبات انتماء الجبرتيين العربي والقررشي بل الهاشمي العقيلي: قال العلامة المؤرخ المقريزي(المتوفى 845 ه =1441 م) :"اعلم ان هذه الدولة قام بتاسيسها قوم من قريش فمنهم من يقول هم من بني عبد الدار ومنهم من يقول انهم من بني هاشم , ثم من بني عقيل بن ابي طالب,قدم أولهم من الحجاز ونزلوا أرض جبرته التي تعرف اليوم بجبرت وهي من أراضي الزيلع واستوطنوها وأقاموا بمدينة (وفات) وعرف جماعة منهم بالخير فاشتهروا بالصلاح الى ان كان منهم عمر الذي يقال له (ولسمع) ولاه الحطي مدينة وأعمالها فحكم بها مدة طويلة وصارت له بها شوكة قوية وشكرت سيرته حتى مات وترك أربعة أولاد أو خمسة ملكوا (وفات) واحدا بعد آخر.(19) وقال المؤرخ الحافظ السخاوي( المتوفى 902 ه = 1497م) في كتابه (الضوء اللامع )في ترجمة أحد سلاطين دولة عدل الجبرتية : " محمد بن أبي بركات بن أحمد بن علي بن عمر المقب ولسمع جمال الدين بن سعد الدين الجبرتي الحنفي الآتي أبوه ويعرف بابن سعد الدين سلطان المسلمين بالحبشة. أصلهم فيما قيل من قريش فرحل من شاء الله من سلفهم من الحجاز حتى نزل بأرض جبرة المعروف الآن بجبرت فسكنها إلى أن ولي الحطى ملك الحبشة مدينة (افات) وأعمالها منها لولسمع فعظم وقويت شوكته وحمدت سيرته وتداولها ذريته حتى انتهت لصاحب الترجمة." (20) وقال الإمام الحافظ المؤرخ ابن حجر العسقلاني (المتوفى 852 ه = 1449م ) في كتابه الدرر الكامنة في أعيان المأة الثامنة, في ترجمة سلطان الجبرتيين : 2/1

Jeberti came from Tigray Ethiopia for freedom of religion otherwise they are not Eritreans by bloodline but migrated to Eritrea and their native language is Tigrigna which the language spoken by Eritreans and north Ethiopia.
