History of Jinx and Mattie Franklin

I would think seeing Jinx's Cartoon counterpart in her own comic or even a side comic would be interesting and I think would work out well. The only issue I really have is if they bring in or even mention Jinx's love interest with Kid Flash/Wally West. For fans of the Flash, it could cause some issues. I'm still new to the comics so I apologize if I sound noobish.

There's actually a comic series of the Teen Titans based on the original Teen Titans cartoon. This new comic series is actually called Teen Titans Go. In this series, Jinx (cartoon version, like every other character) appears in a few issues, and does have a relationship with Wally West. It's actually a great idea for a comic series and I enjoy reading it. You might want to check it out.

Well, now I know why I never see Jinx other than the Teen Titans series. I do like the idea of Cartoon Jinx being in the comic books. Her character development in the classic Teen Titans in season five was very interesting(?) to me. Now I'm curious about where the hell Artemis from the Young Jusice cartoon came from....

if were talking DC comics; Artemis crock was known for being tigress, like her young justice counterpart. however unlike her counterpart she was in fact a villainess in the comics. i think she inherited her villainess name from her mother and i think this incarnation was known for her archery. Hence the show paired her with green arrow because he did archery. they based her costume on the second arrowette. thus annoying some fans. so artemis (1st season) was inspired by green arrow and the 2nd arrowette. (2nd season) was her namesake character; however i think her costume was based on her mothers.

I LOVE your idea for Jinx, that was what I was thinking when I saw her in Teen Titans as a snarky and duplicitous character with a cool design and bad luck powers. In the comics making her more fun and interesting would be cool.

josie buckler -ford I too shipped it hard in Teen Titans. It sucks how Teen Titans Go made her and Cyborg having a weird dumb romantic subplot. She and Kid Flash had much more chemistry, besides Cy was lying about his identity when he infiltrated HIVE academy. I don't think it would be a great relationship if all they were when they were together was built on fakeness.

I totally agree with your idea of Jinx having her own comic series I would so read them she is my favourite villian ... I don't really like the comic version though because she just doesn't seem interesting whereas the other version seems like a character who could actually live up to the name Jinx.

Actually, Artemis Crock IS her own character. However, she originally was just Tigress, as far as I know. Arrowette may have been her character's inspiration for Young Justice however.

I've seen Jinx from both Tt and the comics, I never read the comics but I saw her picture. I thought it was maybe a change in look. I think Tt did her better, in the looks, I wish her powers had more to them, but it was part of her unlucky charm. haha. I think they should bring her back for the New 52, but with the Teen Titans look. and maybe go in depth with the whole 'bad luck' power she had in it.

Artemis makes more sense for what the whole Young Justice premice of getting out of your mentor's shadows and being your own seperate hero. Frankly, changing her name was the best thing that happened to her.

I don't agree, I, and a number of other people who know about the original young justice comic, just cant understand why they would change Artemis to Arrowette. There was the whole mentor student disposition there already. I would've LOVED to have seen a character have to try and get out of her own mothers shadow. I could honestly make a whole 30 minute rant on the Young Justice cartoon. I liked it. But it should NOT have been called Young Justice.

Jinx always struck me as more of a slightly more evil Catwoman than Harley Quinn. Maybe because she's always been a more "mastermind" type than a crazy type. I also would like to see a relationship develop between her and Kid Flash, as I never cared much for Linda Park. I'd rather have her start off as an adversary of the Titans though, specifically Raven. There was always some hidden depth in that rivalry I'd like to see explored further

I liked Jinx in the cartoon series (the original one, not that awful chibi parody nonsense they have on TV now), & I agree she's ultimately more interesting than her original comic book counterpart. The only thing I didn't like about Jinx's character in the show is how she eventually falls in love with Kid Flash and turns good, even though she had always been depicted as relishing her life of crime the same as her other teammates beforehand (it seemed like that old cliche where a bad gal meets a good guy & changes her ways blah blah blah...She's way more fun as a villain!). I did like the notion however that she's frustrated with her teammates & wants to follow in the footsteps of big league supervillains rather than be minor leaguers forever (it fit with how in the beginning of the series she was one of the top graduates of a prestigious school for supervillains & served the likes of Slade & Brother Blood...Only to end up as a petty crook with super powers), she's ambitious but lacks the means & resources by which to achieve said ambitions. She & her fellow Fearsome Five/Hive Five teammates make great foils for the titans as well as minions for mastermind level villains like Deathstroke, Brother Blood, Vandal Savage, etc. P.S. my fave titan villainess is and will always be Blackfire however, hope you do a video about her at some point, she's another villain who i think deserves more love & has the potential to join the ranks of cosmic threats like Mongul, Sinestro, & Despero (was really sad how she only appeared twice in the cartoon, & how Starfire never got a season dedicated to her facing Blackfire for the final showdown like all the others Titans did >_< ).

Interesting video, I'll definitely get around to reading Mattie's comics eventually, though I've a-lot to catch up on before that. As for Jinx, I loved her cartoon incarnation so I'm a bit disappointed that her comic counterpart wasn't that good at-all, and I agree that if they want to bring her into the new 52 it should be based on the cartoon version.

I think its a wonderful idea bring Jinx back, but as her cartoon counterpart. I think they could do a lot with her and eventually make her have her own series. I'd also be really intrested in seeing the art style that could be created with Jinx. I think she was a brilliant character in the show and wish they had done more with her. And maybe hopefully in the future they will.
