It is important to note that Hrólfr was only "evil" from Mimir's point of view. Do remember Mimir willingly served Odin and did terrible deeds himself without a care in the world. - Aldis most likely never told Mimir that he once was a terrible king before he was murdered out of revenge by Hrólfr and his former followers. - Then there is also the fact that Aldis himself hated Helgi as he had raped Aldis' wife, Yrsa which gave birth to Hrólfr. - In the end, it is never certain which side is "good" and "evil" in war. The point of this side quest was that Mimir's revenge was pointless. Kratos did not kill the berserkers out of vengeance or their past history, he only wanted to help the spirits move on towards the afterlife. Also at 6:54, sure Aldis was a Swedish king but Lejre is located in Denmark not Sweden. At this point in time none of the Scandinavian countries should exists yet, hence why everyone refer the old Norse lands as Midgard.

True look at how Kratos and co. Ignore what Freya did to Baldur even seeing Baldur beg Freya to undo her spell in Helheim but she refused Mimir even said Kratos revenge was justified in an attempt to befriend him in the 2018 game

I think Hrolf did have righteous intentions when he killed Aldis, but in the end his fury drove him so insane that he became the very tyrant he dethroned.

Nah i don’t think kratos’ purpose is to help them move on, but to ensure that barbaric warrior spirits such as these would never wander around the nine realms, causing havoc on people, dwarfs, gods, vanir and aesir alike.

Kratos have changed and he no longer kills without purpose and i think the baby steps of him being the new all-father is destroying violent spirits wandering around the nine realms. Whatever the berserkers were before the whole madness thing is irrelevant. Whether they are good or not doesnt change the fact that they are a threat now and that’s why kratos ends them.

In another version,the berserkers were warriors that would wear the skins of animals like wolves and bears as they entered battle believing it gave them great power. Many viewed them as special warriors bred to serve Odin himself.

The 3 way fight was so annoying to do! I hated having to restart the fight. But it did get easier when I realized that I had to take down the elementary Berserkers first, then go for the middle one

On harder difficulties that will get you killed in seconds. What I did to avoid damage is really to take the time to observe their attacks. Keep at least two of them in you sight. One of the sisters is going to attack while the cold is going to keep jumping at you and swinging. Your best friends are the shattersar shield and Draupnir spear. Have the amulet that gives you extra evade distance on because in many cases you’ll need to double dodge roll. (You need to have enough cooldown) use wrath or fury as your last resort to break the cold’s follow-up attacks if she breaks your block. She will be the first one to go down, then the sisters. When you’re dealing with one of the sisters, try avoid all of the their attacks at all cost including yellow ones. I will upload a vid with commentary.

Santa Monica seems to have a tendency to make twist on history in the God of War universe. Such as in Chains of Olympus, Kratos stops the Persian Empire from their second invasion of taking Attica when in actual history, Attica fell to the Persian Empire. And God of War 1 takes place during the Peloponnese War. Just replace the Spartans with monsters of the underworld that Ares leads into the invasion of Athens. And that's only mentioning two major history events as throughout the games. There's actually a lot of twist on history that the GOW does throughout the games and it's fun researching them.

especially when Hrolf is a scylding which means he's a descendant of Skjöldr, but in the game Hrolf ruled Denmark waay before his ancestor.

I've defeated 2 of the Berserker fights so far. Definitely quite a challenge, but no shame in using resurrection stones, or turning on that mini boss checkpoint feature is handy to.

Nahhh, the 3 berserker fight, the bifrost berserker fight and king hrolf are much harder than all the valkyries including sigrun. The valks are difficult, yes but well designed and fair. The 3 berserkers are just unfair, and that bifrost berserker that can easily kill you even with a well equipped armor because of that ridiculous bifrost damage gameplay mechanics.
