Hope you're having a good weekend :) Be sure to follow me @Nick930Gaming on twitter! I post updates on new projects there whenever possible. Next project will be "History of Grand Theft Auto" as heavily requested by you all (And I've been wanting to explore that series for a while now) I'm happy to finally be able to show you what I've been working on the past few weeks. This was a big one. I wanted to really dive deep into what makes this series tick, and I found a lot of great info about how this series was created, and even spoke directly with Jarek Kolar to better understand Mafia 2 and Mafia 3's development. I'll be posting the transcript soon on my website for you to read if you're interested.

Mafia on PC blew me away back in the day. The graphics and scale were phenomenal. However there was one mission where you had to dump a car in the water. I ended up putting it on a hill and switching gears to neutral, and let gravity do the rest. That stood out to me like nothing else. I think the best outcome for Hangar 13/ Mafia series would be to let the Czech offices (reopen the one in Prague, and hire more people) work on another Mafia title, maybe with a slight help of H13 Brighton and and the rest in America would just work on another projects, like new IPs. The Czechs established Mafia, and it’s something like a love child for them, so allowing them to keep continuing in this franchise would be much beneficial, both for H13 and us. As for the story, we’ve seen what great stories can Haden Blackman produce, so he should still be in the lead of the project, but only the Czech should work on gameplay.

The wanted level/cop system in Mafia was always amazing to me. Even now, it's still far better and much more realistic than Grand Theft Auto 5. Where a dead cop, even with no witnesses, results in an immediate swarm of police with instant and perfect autoaim who all know exactly where you are on the map. Such an annoying shortcoming for an otherwise incredible game.

The Remake isn't getting enough credit that it deserves. It's even one of my GOTY of 2020 I swear it's by far one of the best faithful remakes of an OG game since the First RE1 remake and FF7 remake. It taken everything that made the OG relevant and good,Amplified and Modernizing it without messing up the OG source material while still made it pleasing to both Old and new audience alike. Sucks the entire franchise is underrated..all of them are good thanks to its stealer single player campaign.

Mafia Definitive Edition is a great remake in my opinion. Let's hope us modders can restore the cut features like public transport. (which I'm working on)

The first game's racing mission is quite manageable once you realise that you need to respect the car's mechanics and handling, not always having pedal to the metal and actually taking time to break before a sharp (or not so sharp) turn makes a big difference in the experience.

This is one of those rare moments on youtube where I click a random video thinking it's most likely going to be terrible but ends up being amazing.

I was always fascinated by the fact that the first major game about one of the great American stories came from Europe, from the Czech Republic of all places. This shows the true creative power of the medium and that talent can be found everywhere.

I like how the original Mafia separated the side stuff from the story stuff, much like the original Driver did. So they don't get in the way of each other.

It's not RPG and in 2002 there were no side quests in games, I miss that old days with classic gameplay with not driving for quests like idiot.

Mafia Definitive Edition is a beautiful game. The time the intro rolls in I was really hooked to the screen. The acting in this game is amazing in my opinion.👍 It's a perfect example of how a Remake should be done. One peculiar detail though - if you look closely at the faces of Tommy's friends, they seem to look like Tommy with just a little but of facial tweaks.😅

Original mafia is still my favorite the story was spot on and the feel and tone of the game brought it all together. Liked #2 but it definitely felt more arcade like loosing the original feel and tone of the first game. Never played the 3rd game as of bad reviews.
