Mephisto lives up to the phrase: "Speak of the devil and he shall appear." He's responsible for a lot things that happened in the Marvel Universe such as taking the soul of Doctor Doctor's mother, cursing Johnny Blaze as the Ghost Rider, played a part in the Heroes Reborn arc, was the main villain in Avengers Forever, and he erased Peter Parker and Mary Jane's marriage.

I used to love the older "history of ......" In the old studio it was alot brighter and looked more interesting with all the comics in the back ground. I assume it was green screen but the lighting was great. This seems really dark.

It's not confirmed by Marvel, but it's been rumored, and Deadline wrote an article about his casting/role in the show. Deadline is considered to be a pretty reliable Hollywood trade.
