Join me to explore the historic Mission and grounds of SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO . we will tour the entire property and talk abou tlife in a mission as well as one of the most tragic events in southern California history, the earthquake of 1812 that detroyed the GREAT STONE CHURCH and where many lives were lost.

Not a geologist but I am a college student in California and I just took an earth science class a year ago. There’s a lot of metamorphic rock in that area of California because of the volcanoes in the area. I go to school by Mt. Lasson ( a dormant volcano) and the lava from the old explosions spread really far since it’s surrounded by flat farm lands. Might explain the metamorphic rocks in the ruins. I’m loving your channel by the way. I’m a history major so this is my kinda thing!
