This episode is about two and a half months of 1999 (May, June and July) when the crisis was at its peak. Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif and Indian PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee were involved in a crisis that almost forced them to go nuclear, but fortunately, the intervention of US President Bill Clinton and the Chinese Premier brought this to an end. All the events and information provided in this video is based upon the narration of the actual characters and researchers from authentic books. The information is quoted with accurate references all along. Sources of this information are also clearly depicted at the end of the video. India denied GPS access from the USA in 1999 that's why INDIA was unable to use their guided missiles & didn't know exactly where Pakistani soldiers were hidden.. But Israel came to help INDIA & they give exact location of Pakistani troops & after that INDIAN troops climbed the mountains & recaptured all the posts.... If USA allowed GPS use at that time,,Kargil should be ended just within weeks...... But at that time Pakistan was ally of USA,,,so USA didn't allow access of GPS,,,,but now time has changed,,,INDIA has its own satellite navigation system as well as USA ready to give its state-of-the-art technology to INDIA.....

With due respect when those peaks were under control Pakistan airforce officially was not supporting NLI and IAF was there if that happened I think return to the loc would have been less bloody it was just an operation operations are done on limited rules of engagement.

The fact is there was ambiguity by ground Intel provided to Indian army who first responded and lack of attention towards LOC plus still if they had GPS from the start weather and height was the real enemy that is why airforce was called in and GPS was delivered by the permission of US via Israel how can Israel just provide the Intel without informing Joc or penatogon

Israel didn't had any sattelites in that period. So it was not possible for Israel to provide images to india. Infact Israel is far behind indian in fields of space so I don't think Israel has that capability in those days. Russia most probably provided images to india. Now India has it's own network of spy sattelites and it's own GPS in space..

The sad part is that the Pakistan initially dint accept Shair Khan body who was from Gilgit Region basically fearing the truth will come out but later they did. Indian Army did one more thing which you can verify on BBC channel as well, it is that Shair Khan was appreciated by the Indian Army and its commander incharge of the situation who had seen him in action recommended the Pakistani Government and its army that he should be given a recognition for his fighting spirit and that Indian army hails him for bravery . It is rare quality in an enemy , that is what Indian Army is made of . Indian Army even buried dead Pakistani army soldiers with proper Islamic rituals when Pakistan did not accept their bodies fearing truth will come out that they were not Mujahideen like it claimed. On the other side Pakistan Army mutilated many bodies of Indian soldiers and Officers who were alive and dead and tortured and killed them before handing over them, it is seen in Kargil War and previous wars. It was against the Geneva Convention and humanity.

What you are saying if true than i sympathize with you and all Pakistani soldiers who were pushed into this unnecessary conflict due to ignorance of your top army officials and shear stupidity of your then PM. No comment on the bravery of Pak soldiers. However, i would like to remind the Pakistanis that Karnal Sher Khan was awarded Nishan e Haider based on Indian army's recommendation. Pak army, on the other hand, refused to accept the bodies of NLI soldiers. They are still buried in unmarked graves in Jammu and Kashmir.
