In timelapses like this it seems that crusaders were crushing it but in fact their conquest was very slow with many back and forth. Great Prussian uprising almost kicked out the Teutons but constant reinforcements from Europe turned the tide. Nevertheless it took at least 50 years for Prussians to be totally converted. What is interesting is that the only Baltic tribe to convert somewhat peacefully were Lattigalians

Thank you for including Karwity and Słobity on the map! I live nearby, and I can say as a fact that Karwity no longer exists - its an abandoned village. Communism led to its ultimate downfall. This is just one example out of over 700+ more (based on the number of defunct settlements I located so far), abandoned villages usually founded in Prussian or Teutonic times, first inhabited by Prussians, later by Germans, suddenly wiped out after centuries of existing. It's an element of the tragedy of this land that almost nobody speaks about.

Prussia, a German kingdom created from Brandenburg and Duchy of Prussia, united in a personal union by the Hohenzollerns of Brandenburg in 1618. 1701 Frederick I Hohenzollern crowned himself king of Prussia, soon extending the name Prussia to all his possessions (formally from 1807). The lands of Gdańsk Pomerania remained in ties with Poland. After Wenceslaus II took over Poland, they became part of his rule. In 1305, Wenceslaus III transferred Gdańsk Pomerania to Brandenburg in exchange for Meissen, and in 1307 the Pomeranian Święcowie paid tribute to Brandenburg. The following year, the Brandenburgers invaded Pomerania, and the new Polish king, Władysław the Elbow-high, turned to the Teutonic Knights for help. The Teutonic Knights expelled the invader, but did not return Pomerania to Poland, and in 1310 they repaid Brandenburg with the amount of 10,000. fines and transferring the Słupsk and Sławno lands to her[4]. As a result of the Thirteen Years' War of 1454-1466, Gdańsk Pomerania and the surrounding areas (including Warmia) came under the rule of Poland under the name of Royal Prussia[5]. In 1569, at the Lublin Sejm, Royal Prussia was incorporated into the Crown. The Council was transformed into a general assembly, and its senators and deputies entered the Sejm[6]. The General Assembly, also called the "Prussian General", consisted - unlike other general assemblies - of two chambers and was the highest autonomous body of Royal Prussia. It was presided over by the Bishop of Warmia, and in his absence, the Bishop of Chełmno. This was the beginning of the political, economic and social integration of these lands with the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, although they retained a separate Prussian treasury and Chełmno court law, and from 1598 a separate codification - the Prussian Correction. In 1581, the Prussian district was included in the Polish tax system, and in 1585 the Crown Tribunal became its appellate instance[7]. In 1637, after the death of the West Pomeranian Griffin dynasty, the lands of Lębork and Bytów, which had been a fief under the rule of these princes since 1455, were incorporated into Royal Prussia. In 1657, under the Welawa-Bydgoszcz treaties, they were transferred to Brandenburg, formally as a Polish fief (until 1772), but in fact they were lost. In the First Partition of Poland (1772), almost all of Royal Prussia was taken over by the Kingdom of Prussia (without Gdańsk and Toruń, which were lost in the Second Partition of Poland in 1793). In the years 1808-1824 and 1877-1918 they formed a separate Prussian province - West Prussia (German: Westpreussen), which included the former Royal Prussia (without Warmia) along with part of the former Greater Poland and a fragment of Ducal Prussia. By the provisions of the Peace of Versailles (1919), part of Prussia (Pomeranian Voivodeship) was returned to Poland in 1920, part was incorporated into East Prussia as the West Prussia Regierungs (German: Regierungsbezirk Westpreussen), part of it was created the Free City of Gdańsk, and part of it was created a new Prussian province - Marchia Poznań-West Prussia (German: Grenzmark Posen-Westpreussen). pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prusy_Kr%C3%B3lewskie

Whats wrong with them? If they arent fully (or should i say scientifically) objective, then Yes, they arent, as such words as barbaric and etc. Arent objective, but in youtube videos i want to write it in that way, to make stronger message, and make it more interesting. When i will start a serie with my, not ai voiceovers, i will make such description aswell, but the facts itself would be shown as usual. Facts with be accurate as always, but interpretation of them will be mine. Done in a such way to make it interesting to watch, with emotions in it and etc. But that will be in the future series, now i just used these unobjective words.

@@POGKPP At 5:40 you begin by calling it a "barbaric" invasion, state that the Teutonic Order's version of Christianity has nothing to do with "the pacifist teachings of Jesus," claim the "real history" of Old Prussia was wiped out by the Church, state the Old Prussians were "betrayed by everyone" and "begged the Pope to stop murdering innocent Christian populations of Prussia," and end by outright calling Herkus Monte a hero. I assume it is partly a language issue because there are various grammatical errors, but it doesn't change the explanation's favoritism towards Old Prussians. There are also historical facts I dispute. Separately, I recommend you overlay the audio instead of stopping the timelapse to give a long explanation that could bore the viewer.
