Man, I miss trials frontier so much. I played that game religiously for years, challenging other players in ranked and getting into top rank every season was so much fun. I still know each track like the back of my hand. I wish there was still a way to play it. I never ended up completing the harley blueprint, I was 3 pieces away. I was looking forward to having something to spend my 10.000.000 coins and basically infinite upgrade parts on. This game was probably the first childhood game of mine that fell to the always online curse that will doom so many great games from continuing to be playable in the future. I worry for the preservation of games like trials frontier, dark times are ahead. Anyway, great video. I enjoyed the little look back at the history of this small mobile game that I loved so much. I've played trials fusion and trials rising, but nothing compares to the buttery smooth control I had over the bikes in trials frontier. Maybe someday I'll be reunited with it, but for now all I have are the memories.

fusion is to this day the only game I play. close to everyday. You mentioned about the game having a dark theme. and you are 100 percent correct. but I am curious as to how much you have realized. I would be surprised to find someone else that knows or speaks about what this game is really about. I hadn't seen anything online on people talking about it. I see people talking about it being dark and they mainly just mention the clone thing and whatnot. but damn it goes way passed that. once you realize it becomes so plainly obvious what the deal is. the entire game is centered around a very unexpected yet relevant to reality topic. rising as well

I started with Trials HD back in the day, I played the demo version first and eventually bought the game. I have fond memories of playing Trials with my brother back then. We went on to play Trials Evolution and Trials Fusion as well, i’ve never played Rising though. I got super into it and loved challenging myself to beat the most difficult tracks and improve my pbs. Beating the extreme tracks in Fusion with zero faults to unlock the ninja tracks was extremely rewarding. Trials is a game with such simple mechanics but they’re able to do so much with it and make a very rewarding game to try and master.

I'm sad to say that I wasn't even aware of trials until my buddy introduced me to fusion maybe 6 months to a year before rising. Those two are still the only ones ive played. But I can still say fusion is still my daily play game

Fusion is godly, love the game. Everything from the high skill ceiling, beautiful tracks, tournaments, getting into top teams, etc.

I remember playing the first game on this vid, middle school. I want to say it was on mini clip. I remembered being hooked on it and ended looking up to see if there was any other games. Found fusion and never stopped

On Fusion around 17:10, did anyone try transcribing the light sequences to binary and translating them to ASCII?

Not that I'm aware off. Think most people believed the message. Also wonder if the lights match the hidden message.

from what I have observed. their go to method of hidden messages is morse. tho it does seem like binary and probably is as well. I wouldn't rule out morse. they usually do it with blinking lights instead of sounds. like on the dark city run remake or at the end of sennes sands just to name a couple. on the light bar when pause at a couple random times it's short and long sections.

Can anyone tell me how I can get Trials Evolution on the XBox-One in 2024? It's there in the Microsoft Store but it says 'Not Available' when I try to purchase it. I have Trials HD on the XBox-One, which I believe is a per-requisite to getting Evolution?

They probably removed it from the store for new purchases. Probably just there for people who already owned it but needed to redownload it again for some reason.

I remember playing the Java based trials back in 03’. Then when Trials Fusion came out, I thought some other company was ripping off the browser game and making profits off their idea. Only found out that it’s the same company which is amazing about a year ago! So proud of RedLynx for taking something good and making it amazing

After rising, I think that they've given up on trials, on the redlynx website, they don't mention trials at all, even though there is a section for games they've worked on, and their most recent game was a goddamn match 3 mobile game, so I think trials is dead.

One of my favorite series ever, squandered by Redlynx joining Ubisoft. Frontier was possibly the most disappointing game I've ever played. Not because it wasn't good, but because it was a good game was ruined by ridiculous greed. Redlynx became just another company that was willing to throw its integrity out the window and milk its fans with tactics that are somehow still legal (The game has at least five digital currencies). There's no love lost on my part. The awesome company that developed HD and talked daily to its loyal community is long gone. Another Ubisoft casualty. I'll always love Trials. It's a shame what they've done to it.
