▼History of Road Rash▼
Road Rash is the name of a motorcycle-racing video game series by Electronic Arts in which the player participates in violent, illegal street races. The series started on the Sega Genesis and made its way to various other systems over the years. The game's title is based on the slang term for the severe friction burns that can occur in a motorcycle fall where skin comes into contact with the ground at high speed. Six different games were released from 1991 to 2000, and an alternate version of one game was developed for the Game Boy Advance. The Sega Genesis trilogy wound up in EA Replay.Road Rash debuted on the Sega Genesis in 1991. The game takes place in California, on progressively longer two-lane roads. While the game has a two-player mode, it is a take-turns system that only allows one person to play at a time. There are 14 other opponents in a race. A port of the game wound up on the Amiga, and various scaled-down versions were made for Master System, Sega Game Gear and Game Boy.

Holy shit!!! The 1995 PC Road Rash footage was my old channel (Theofficalpwner) back when I was a kid.. I completely forgot about that channel.. I knew that was my video right away by the distinct pause in the beginning when my keyboard glitched out alot.. Yeah that was me when I was like.. 12 or 13 or something.. That is so awesome to accidentally stumble across my old video randomly... Gotta love old Road Rash, take care man!!

Those were the days. Road Rash 3D made me a fan of The Tea Party and I can't imagine my life without their music but I'm even crazier about Monster Magnet (their "Dinosaur Vacuum" song from RR is pretty weak, though). I have the rare Paw "Dragline" and Hammerbox "Numb" albums but couldn't get the one from Full On The Mouth. Luckily they're on a few streaming sites.

I still have all the road rash games. I remember playing the games with my best friend ; every time we lose we used to get so ticked off we had to leave the room and smoke a cigarette . When I hear the song rusty cage by sound garden on the radio; I think about road rash. when we use to play the game back in the day we never focused on the graphics, it was about having fun playing it. I never usually got into racing games other than cruisin usa this was a game I loved.
