It wasn't actually 4 times it was just a mistake. 2 of them were at Caltech winter competition 2004 and the other 2 at Caltech spring competition 2004

Felix, back in 2013, was the reason I got into speedcubing. I remember sitting in my 7th grade class and my English teacher showing the class Felix's world record video. I didn't know about speedcubing until that day. My first speedcubing battle was between me and another kid during lunch that 7th grade year. I got 32 seconds, and he got 38 seconds.

Max parks record felt like a dream when I first saw it. But at the same time, it made sense

For me My mind is taken back to Mats 5.55 whenever I think of the WR. I remember 11 year old me in January 2015 in awe watching that solve as it was the WR when I started cubing, and even now whenever I see a solve faster than 5.55 I think about how far the record has come. Crazy to think just how many times that time is broken in 2023 but just 8 years ago there was no solve faster.

For me it is Feliks Zemdegs 4.73. I thought it still was the world record until I found it today that it was a 3.13. My mind was blown, because I genuinely thought that the 4.73 was nearly unbeatable

As a cupstacker I find rubiks cube world records to be way more impressive due to the huge gap in time. World records in cubing go from 6.18 to 5.66 while in cupstacking they go from 5.93 to 5.91

The record IS NOT 3,14 secs. Everybody is saying the record is 3,149 secs but is NOT true! If you watch de vídeo paying attention, Max Park claps his hands on 3,139 secs but, the Cube touches the table and he puts BOTH HANDS on the table at 2,984 secs. The clock stopped when he clapped his hands. The rules says it have to stop when the person claps, or when the cube touches the table or when both hands touches the table?

feliks is the goat, he is the reason cubing is where it is. he broke the 7 and 6 second barrier no one has nearly as many world records as he does and no one dominated cubing for as long as he did. Nowadays sure there are younger faster cubers, but feliks from 2010 to 2017 was pretty much the only top dog outside of mats valk, and even then feliks survived him as well. Felik's probably would own all the records now if the cubes that are here now were made back then.
