Very nice collection that brings back memories all the way to 1982, but a lot of those headlines are depressing - searches for missing people, the outcome of murder trials, milk shortages, factories closing down, a Legionnaires’ Disease outbreak in Cumbria, and Coronavirus lockdowns… :(

S4C is a Half-English, Half-Welsh channel.

@@goudarltoninnitnnstle391md7 it is, especially during the 1980s until 2012. There's a channel called 'S4C Digidol' which broadcasts 100% Welsh programme content, which that channel was aired only on digital TV platforms.

@@HafizMediaworks *2010, since Wales last analogue transmissions ended at 30th-31st March 2010, when Venvoe transmitter (South Wales, including Cardiff) switched off analog hardware and switched on digital overnight

@@goudarltoninnitnnstle391md7 Originally (1982) it was half-English half-Welsh, because UK Channel 4 couldn’t be transmitted in Wales and many C4 programmes were shown timeshifted on S4C, but since digital switchover in 2010 it’s been entirely in Welsh because C4 is now also transmitted in Wales (Freeview channel 8).

The whole current set, both the headline underscore and intro, reminds me too much of MDR Aktuell. Does anyone know if it's the same composer, does BBC get inspiration from MDR, or is it just a whole coincidence? Not that I'm complaining though, cuz it's actually a good theme anyways
