After the success of the Delta Plus, someone refined the design further into the Delta Kai and mounted the n_i_t_r_o system on it. Think EXAM and HADES without the nasty side effects. It also has Fin Funnels. Yeah.

This is very much appreciated, since I cannot find any English sources. The Delta line is probably one of my favorite MS lines in the entire metaverse. How they couldn't incorporate the greatest features into one ms and had to settle for two separate units. Also Chang looks cute here. Sad to see what happened to her in CCA.

The GUNDAM Delta kai is one of my favorite gundams in the Universal Century. I love it's looks, the weapons, and the fact it completes the cycle of the Delta line as the perfected Delta Gundam. The NITRO system is very dangerous but cool to see blue flames emitted from the gundam itself. Let's not forget it can even shoot the powerful beam magnum without any trouble!!!! Now that's badass!!!!

Too bad that the Hyaku Shiki didn't use Delta Gundam's wave rider mode bcoz of the glitches found which causes structural frame fatigue. The same problem was seen in the prototypes of the Zeta Gundam. Kamille solved the problem by combining the Gundam Mk. 2's moveable frame with Rick Dias' Gundarium Gamma into the frame. The same solution was apply to Delta Gundam, but it was years after the Gryps Conflict by the time of the Laplace Affair of Gundam Unicorn. So then, Char/Quattro fought thru the Gryps War in a mobile suit that couldn't transform, while the Zeta Gundam hogged most of the glory of changing into & out of fighter/wave rider mode.

The Delta Plus actually managed to make the Transformation Work - it's even capable of unassisted Atmospheric reentry as well. The Delta Kai is a really cool looking unit that was developed from the Kai. It uses a Long Mega Buster, and can use a Beam Magnum without getting its arms blown off. It can mount a pile bunker, a machine cannon, or a HI-MEGA CANNON on the shield. It also comes mounted with two Fin Funnels. Now, thie interesting thing is that the Delta Kai isn't a Newtype-only MS. How do other people control the Fin Funnels? The n_i_t_r_o system. It temporarily converts the pilot into a Cyber-Newtype. Of course this results in the pilot becoming unusuly aggressive and unstable due to the rewiring of their brain, but it's a hell of a lot better than its predecessors (EXAM, HADES.).

Londo Bell applied for an application to use Zeta Gundam in 2nd Neo Zeon War but the Federation said its missing despite they have the MS in their possession, but there's actually 4 Zeta Gundam that existed and one of them was designed for Amuro yet they didn't lend it and forced Amuro to use RGZ...

@@zacharyradford5552 White Zeta waa on First Neo Zeon War. And yes, he piloted that. Same with Zeta Plus, But Zeta Plus isn't meant for space use as it was meant for atmospheric flight. They were denied of the Zeta Gundam and Federation didn't assigned the Delta Plus on Londo bell in manga. So they were stuck in Re-GZ, and we know how expensive Re-GZ's back pack and what happened during the Second Neo Zeon War. It didn't perform well. Its the Federation that didn't allow Londo Bell to have any of the Zeta Gundams that can perform in space

Having played SRWV, I'd note that a lot of the opposing force pilots have a dim view of the Delta Plus itself, as opposed to its pilot Riddhe. It's a good mech really, like a true mass production Zeta, but opinions range from it being a poor man's Zeta clone or the result of a failed project that went over budget. The Type-100 story and the entirety of the project that led to the Zeta is really fascinating. The Type-100 was the closest they got to a Zeta-like design before Kamille's contribution. There were other attempts at making movable-frame transformable units that didn't really work as well, like the transformable Rick Dom prototypes. Before it was fobbed off (

Delta Plus is nothing like the Zeta. In terms of speed and agility it’s superior but fragile. If you want a mass produced Zeta it’s the Zeta Plus and the Re-GZ lines.

@@zacharyradford5552 you're talking about the Methuss line, that's where the ReZEL is from, although the ReZEL did take its name from the ReGZ. Only Build Fighters ever did anything with the ReGZ line, but model kit players can do whatever they want with system limitations that real technical staff can't, including make the BWS feasibly reusable once jettisoned. IIRC they went back to the G-Defensor line instead, which was the source for the ReZEL's optional Defensor packs, not the BWS.

@@brandonbrown6922 One might argue about the NTD hijacking the MB or the ELS Quanta being made of living metal. But I would agree no amount of dodging would save Kira Yamato from the MB. Mike would be outgunned right from the start since the best thing he has is his ability to directly control the Gundam as well as an ability to possibly deflect beams for a while (not sure if he could deflect GN particles, but I'll assume it is the same principle as IBO beams). Quanta and Batbatos are closer range fighters, but they possibly have advantages over other MS, especially since the Quanta of the ELS variety could possibly assimilate the others and use them on Setsuna's side. A battle royale of the best gundams would be hard to call with all the variables the best gundams of each respective timeline has, but I can predict who is most likely to fall first. Barbatos would likely fall first due to lack of range weapons (though the original's Smoothbore gun and the Lupus Rex's tail would temporarily solve that) as well as lack of beam weapons would give Mikazuki a lot of grief. If the Raiser Sword or Double Satellite cannon got him head on, he'd likely cook alive in his mobile suit.

You know had the Delta stayed, it would of been a powerful MS unit (which would still lead to the Delta+) for example go into the battlefield fast in wave rider mode, then for close quarters combat switch to MS mode but have to wait till after it leaves combat and returns to base would it be able to return to wave rider mode (small defect yes but it means longer drawn out battles with rotating MS units), so delta in Wave rider mode -high speed, high power, low defense, MS mode -low speed, high power, and high defense not a bad trade but the repair cost to back into wave rider mode might mean only like 5 deltas could be made

The question is that how many times it can transform before breaking. You can replace parts but i dont think they would have a whole sets of main frame standby in the ship and it would have be a logistical nightmare. Also, pilot would prefer reliable MS rather than high performance MS that are prompt to breaking without notice. (im looking at you Zudah)

Would be smarter for him to use the Delta Kai which also had funnels so it could keep up with chars smaller funnel pack. Not to mention that NITRO mode is just cool over all and would be like a cool way to see one last "EXAM Clone" before NT-D was finally rolled out in Unicorn(then again it required a Cyber-Newtype to be used properly if I'm correct). But Amuro already has a transformable mobile suit. Pretty sure it was a Z PlusC1/A1 colored orange/bronze with a tan color similar to the one on GP02's arms and legs. Honestly if we go by non canon guides (MSG: Battle Universe, and MSG: Assault Survive. The only ones to my knowledge with this suit in it.)then he did have a Zeta Gundam that was pink and white. What I wanna see is how he would fight in the Unicorn or in a mobile suit that could belt out damage while moving faster than the sensors could track. Would he be the Villain or would there be something that moved just as fast if not faster so that we could have another Char v. Amuro? Still a little unhappy about him not getting a mention in Unicorn but this means that he is probably still alive considering that even long dead spirits like Lalah Sune made an appearance in Unicorn.
