Something I love about Bill's video is the fact it's also a perfect loop, the final sentence is 'By the way, where the hell are we?' and the first is 'Hi you're on a rock floating in space'

There was a lot of omissions when it comes about the americas, like the Teotihuacan territory was way bigger, the main city was the only point highlighted, also the Mayans didn't go away, their civilization declined and entered in a state of civil war that lasted after Spain finally conquered them. Also when the Toltecs fell, several civilizations rose from them, one being the Aztecs who got so powerful all the northerner nomad tribes were forced to make a federation to not be stumped by them, and this, the Chichimeca federation was never conquered by Spain but they entered into a deal and were annexed into what would be New Spain later. You should check out the Animated History of Mexico, that at least mentions some of that. Great reaction btw, this video is always really cool to rewatch.

LOL My problem with public school learning (history) was, after graduating and looking more deeply into into various points, it became clear that most of what I had memorized was incorrect...either deliberately (for propaganda) or ignorantly (as more recent research had discovered). I felt pretty resentful about it for a long time, til I made peace with the notion that no one knows anything, but has to go on with what seems most likely.
