I am 76 and my dad was a sergeant in the Lancashire Fusiliars in WW1 .The people do not go to war but are TAKEN to war by a very dubious system of elitist rule which is in place because we the people can not be trusted to rule ourselves due to human nature saying someone would want to be leader and rule others and the logic of that is that war is inevitable , which is a very sad comment of human nature. Yes there are many good humans but do not appear to gain positions of power . Sad also to consider that WW3 may also be inevitable and so far only the insane function of M.A.D. prevents all out conflict ,perhaps until one side discovers a device that nulifies the I.C.B.M.s of the other side making attack a feasable prospect but so far no such device has been invented so mutual assured destruction remains in place.
